Both South and Hibriten were having trouble finding a 5th non conference opponent as our new conference only has 6 schools while every other conference in the area has anywhere from 7-10 teams…. Couldn’t find an opponent within reasonable distance so both decided to play twice (1 non conference and 1 conference)
We had the same issue when we were in the Mountain 6. We always got enough non conference football games, but basketball, softball, & baseball was a challenge.
Most of this has come to pass thus far.
South actually claimed the trophy tonight and took it back to Sawmills!!! Not that I think much of the “county championship” but I think tonight’s game was the one that counted towards that “mythical” distinction

I think the goal is to A play someone and B get at least some gate money. Everyone else is in conference so teams like that would be the only option.
I sure hope y’all get things turned around cause hibriten is the best place to watch a 3 or 4 th round playoff game !!!!
We're just really young had a ton of seniors last year.
I’d be really surprised 😲!!! Not saying it can’t be done but think it will be a tall order this year
