That Qb is one of the best individual athletes I’ve seen in a few years. We played edenton four straight years in the playoffs and they never had anyone close to his level. With that said, their D isn’t very good. So they have to win shoot outs

I don’t think it will be that high of a scoring contest. Whiteville has the third lowest opponent ppg average left in the 2A East.

Not going to shut them down. If we keep them under 40 I like our chances. QB can beat you with his legs and arm, going to be a big challenge.
Whiteville will be able to score as well. It will be a shootout. Hertford only beat Edenton by seven in a shootout.
Sure every team Hertford has played and attempted to cover him with a SPY, we probably will to, but who will it be? Could be a decoy and a couple of SPYS, who knows, think we can make it interesting though.

Where does he have offers from? I know he's a JR, but with those kind of stats seems like some schools would be all over him.

He’s not getting much love from the raters at least that I could find. It’s a shame some of the smaller schools players are not recognized. Really looking forward to seeing what he can do and what we can do to slow him down….just a little bit
That will be a mistake. The qb will give the look of running and just as he gets to the line of scrimmage he will stop and throw it. It must be hard for high school kids to concentrate on covering their guy. Ours did it over and over when he did this leaving a receiver wide open. Your Db's have to play the receivers and ignore the qb. If they see it as a qb run and start coming at him they will pay.
Guess it may be a game of who gets burnt the most. We have some playmakers too.
I'm guessing they're not as strong defensively as you guys. Imo yal easily outscore them, barring a bunch of turnovers

That QB draw play they run is really hard to stop. They'll send 4 receivers out wide and then that QB with his speed to get to the edge and he's gone.
I know on several occasions, they've given up a wad of points. Everyone capable imo, at this stage
Not going to get into a game of bravado, we have been humbled in the late rounds of the playoffs before. But we have to play the game and they are in for a LONG bus ride.
Very long ride… 3 and a half hour when I go up there in car. Has to be over 4 in a bus.
Eventually their Defense is going to hurt them I believe. If you can get a few stops, I definitely think you guys can get the win

I was at that game. I didn't see any coaches acting that way.. just excited for winning. Danny Ford was there looking at Chester. Coach Hewett was always a gentleman when I saw him. Strick what coach could that have been acting like that? Weren't Glen,Greg,Mitch,Wayne,.
None of them would. They have too much respect for the game. I was there too, but did not see anything. but i'am not saying it didn't happen. If it did. that is very disrespectful. No place in Whiteville for people like that. If it did happen and i saw it, knowing me back then there would have been hell to pay.
Maybe some wanna be coaches from the fans but that’s even a stretch. Would love to see some pictures but I realize that was a long time ago. I was there as well. Definitely an anomaly for our team, coaches and fan base.
Must be a different group of whiteville people that used to flipped us off when South had a away game there or that stabbed the flag into the 50 yard line and ignorantly taunted fans after they finally beat south after what 15/16 years ? Or a different group that vandalized south’s field …
Not saying any of these were coaches but definitely fans and players I’ve seen more than two handfuls of flat out classless acts from the Wolfpack crowd so to say this is a stretch might be a stretch in itself…
Now with that being said I know some people from whiteville that’s nothing but class but can definitely believe what the postered had to say happen
I for one and and I know several Whiteville fans that have been to SC games in the playoffs after Whiteville had an early exit and sat on and cheered for SC, not saying that's everybody here but that's the kind of fans I know and associate with.
Core was not shocked that it was fans or even players. Statement was directed toward a coach being involved.
On to Whiteville vs Hertford County!
Well some say we will win and some say we will lose because of the all-star QB they have. We don't have any all-star players just a bunch of hard nose bunch of underclassmen who loves to play and will hit you into next week. I think the o and d lines will make the difference in this game + add in the turnovers by each team. I am ready for them to line up and get it on and the best team come out on top and go to the next round. Like Forest Gump said that is all I got to say about that.
Understood but I also know and believe without a doubt what was told to me Saturday. I have no ill will towards the Whiteville Pack because in my eyes their program is similar to ours up here in many ways. I know they have an awesome coach and eventually they’re going to break thru. I just like Rodgers and HC to advance.
If they beat you be prepared for them stomping on your midfield logo and then lining up to shake hands only to look at you and laugh and refuse to shake hands and walk off. Best way to handle that is win!! Go Whiteville!
When hertford beat Tarboro they did celebrate quite excessively, which I personally didn't have a problem with because they just took down a elite program regardless of classification. They did shake hands with Tarboro after the game though. That sounds like they had no respect for y'all if that's the case smh.
