Not a great bracket for the SMC if the preliminary sticks...Murphy-Cherokee possibly playing for the 4th time in the 3rd round (letting only one advance to Regionals), Andrews getting sent to a very under-seeded Atkins...

So one of the top 5 teams in 1A gets one home game and likely meets the #1 team in 1a in the third round. Wow... What a reward for Murphy, awful bracket for the the lady Bulldogs and the SMC

Not great...this isn't the rare year when the Little Smoky champ could've won the Big Smoky. They played what would have been a full Big Smoky slate (everybody in the league twice) and went 1-13 in those games.

Well we sure didn't get mauled did we. If Atkins and Mt Airy are the top 2 teams in your area they are in for some tough games when they meet up if they meet up with Cherokee or Murphy. Hiwassee Dam also could give them all they want. No disrespect to Atkins but if we hadn't got into foul trouble the game was up for grabs. Home court advantage was so big in this game especially after a long haul half way across the state but that's part of the game.
