Im still hanging on to a thread of hope for our East Wilkes Cardinals. You cant ever count this years team out. Though they arent the most athletic, or fastest, or strongest. They just flat out gut it out and get stronger as the game progresses. They have given up only 7 points the entire year in the 3rd qtr. They adjust well and they have a will to fight. Good win E.Surry. Great game East Montgomery. Good luck to all going forward that are still standing.
I was very impressed with your team. Very well prepared and coached. After the game, coach Diamont said he had no doubt that you'd be giving West Montgomery a run for its money in the years to come. EM was as well-coached as any team I've seen this season, and some of the teams I've seen include James Kenan, Mount Airy, West Stokes and East Surry.
Thanks for that observation. The coaches have done an excellent job and the kids have put the work in. We are excited about the direction our football program is headed in.
Yes the head coach really got the program headed in the right direction in my observation (could be a little bias lol) but #24 Mckinney will be there number 1 running back in the state next year this kid is unreal his speed and size A+ will be interesting how many times he touches the ball a game next year cause this year he was only bout 35% of the offense once again my opinion
