East Gaston at Shelby-Round 3

No secrets in this one...
East Gaston goes as the running game and play-action passing game goes - Hill, McKinney and Sherrill. They also have the two smaller backs that can surprise you in Stovall and Goins. Passing game revolves around Cloninger and McKinney. Gotta pay attention to #73 on the DL...he's a beast.

Shelby goes as the passing game goes, with Lee having the luxury of 5 great WRs to throw to...and then the Shelby DL, which has to stop the duo of Hill and McKinney.

This game may be decided by how EG can pass and how Shelby can run, honestly...and Special Teams could play a major role.

everyone is talking about how Shelby should be worried about the East Gaston running game but you got to remember Shelby put 62 pts on East Gaston and the starters only played a little over half the game. I was at the gam and East Gaston had no answer for the Shelby offense.

As the weakest of all this season's power houses, you should be worried as playoff games are a different animal than regular season. You're the first notch for anyone looking at a cinderella season.

Yeah, special teams killed EG that game for sure and it all started with that blocked punt. Then there was a huge momentum swing when the ref called that scoop and score for EG an incomplete pass. Shelby still would have won the game but it would have been a lot closer. EG will need to play a mistake free game. They have definitely got better over the past couple weeks. I guess we can speculate all day but that's why we have to line up on Friday night and see if we know what we're remotely talking about. haha.
