Senior Trevor Willis 1,200 points 6'"3 Guard, 3 year all conf, region 2 all district 2 years,
Senior Brennan Lewis 6'4 Forward 8ppg 7rpg

Transfer Junior 6'4" DaShaun Johnson 9ppg 8rpg

Graduated over 5,000 points losing All State pg Jacque Brown, Sam Johnson, and Ty Simmons. All 1,000 points with Brown having 2,000.

Young, talented guards will have to grow up quick,.. They played limited minutes last year behind Brown and Johnson... Will be the most athletic and biggest team in last 5 years. We still expect to contend for a regional berth!

I watched a scrimmage game over the summer against a perennial playoff contender , and virtually every basketball game over the last three seasons, and I am saying , unequivocally , that we are as strong, if not stronger , than last season ! Needless to say those guys were surprised at the whooping they took in Beaufort . It is a different style , for sure, and basketball season may be rough in the first month because a longer football season will affect us ( we are looking for that ring on the gridiron this season) but make no mistake about it. The Championship Trophy is in North River, N.C. and if you want it, you gotta come to the coast to get it !! The Mariners are planning on holding onto that trophy for this season at least !!
