Our boys did their job when they needed too! Before the game I wondered if Crest could handle the Hickory offense. I think I was wrong. Hickory can't handle the Crest offense.

It was an awesome game and the first time HHS has ever defeated the Chargers!Congratulations Hickory
Pretty much. The entire fence line on the hickory side had people standing on it. There was a big block of seats on crest side near the band.So how big was this crowd? Was it standing room only?
He was tired from running back & forth for the play???? He is an 18 year old that should be in perfect shape at the end of the season. They ran the ball because he kept throwing interceptions. Poor coaching plain & simple.Hickory pace wore us out second half..#5 just couldn’t return a kick after running so much on defense after 3rd quarter..QB got tired from running back and forth to get the play in, and we where down at the end with 4 minutes still running the ball in 3 WR sets basically running the clock out on ourselves..we played the run okay but once they got rolling passing it was a work of art..and all of the 15 yarders after scored ..you just can’t do that ..kicking off from 25 yard line against the best 3a offense in the state is just diabolical 😂
Does anyone else remember Big Sausages saying that #0 gave Crest the best chance to win? Big Sausages and #0 got to see what a real quarterback looks like last night at Hickory. He was tired from running back & forth for the play???? Send a WR in with play let your QB catch his breath between plays like everyone else because he touches the ball every play it’s just common senseHe was tired from running back & forth for the play???? Any team Lloyd is involved with has always had the QB run back and forth and i don r really understand it.Send a WR in with play let your QB catch his breath between plays like everyone else because he touches the ball every play it’s just common sense
You got a great offense Duck. You win outright and you should have. You can call us WINNERS! We had a worse 1st quarter than Crest did in the 4th quarter.
Some of those throws he made were ridiculous against very good coverage. I don't think I've ever seen that level of precision from a high school QB ever. The velocity and ball placement were unreal, and several of the throws were on the run. What am I missing with this kid? Why doesn't he have P4 offers? Too small?I wonder how many passing yards that Hickory QB had...... that kid is deadly and that receiving core SHEESH.......
You are not lying. That kid doesn't just have a cannon he is extremely accurate. He made adjustments to the coverage all night. That quick slant TD was a thing of beauty. He saw the coverage, adjusted and boom TD. Special player. Some of those throws he made were ridiculous against very good coverage. We traveled up to see this one after seeing Crest dismantle OG last week. We sat on the Crest side and pulled for the Chargers. Good bunch of folks.
Wanted to see #4 on offense all season and 1st time he touches it he breaks tackles and scores..and then we don’t see him again are even the last drive when we ran the same last 4 plays as the KM gameYou got a great offense Duck. You win outright and you should have.
But the play calling for Crest in the 2nd half was atrocious again. Plus did you see both defenses?
They SUCK.
Anyway The better team won. Like SL said I’m glad you at least showed up here after the game.
Love Stober. He’s fantastic.
Take care my friend
He’s the best QB in the state, regardless of rankings. If he was 6-2+ this wouldn’t even be a discussion and he would have every offer imaginable. If Hickory wins it again it’ll be because of him once again. Some of those throws he made were ridiculous against very good coverage. Yeah man. I’m trying to not be a butthole in public but that makes no sense. Also, the QB getting 159 yards rushing back and forth to the coach is cringy to me.Wanted to see #4 on offense all season and 1st time he touches it he breaks tackles and scores..and then we don’t see him again are even the last drive when we ran the same last 4 plays as the KM game

Said what I said and I was correct,Does anyone else remember Big Sausages saying that #0 gave Crest the best chance to win? Big Sausages and #0 got to see what a real quarterback looks like last night at Hickory.
It was definitely interesting to see. The whole team folded after the first pick. Even the coaching staff seemed to, running draw plays and simple handoffs, down 2 scores with 4 mins left.Said what I said and I was correct, and if you have an issue with it get over it
Stober was great last night , special QB
Congrats to Hickory on the win
Great routes by Hickory..those routes put the safety’s in so much conflict kinda like we did last year when Green could get deep shots…Yeah man. I’m trying to not be a butthole in public but that makes no sense. Also, the QB getting 159 yards rushing back and forth to the coach is cringy to me.
One question I have is. Are D1 safety’s not required to make one play?
GOOD FOLKS evidently you didn't meet CRESTRULZ and THE BIGSAUSAGE.Some of those throws he made were ridiculous against very good coverage. It’s definitely not Havelocks QB! I stand on that, especially with his throwing mechanics. The West has Stober from Hickory, Bryce Baker at EF and Brandon at Grimsley just to name a few that are better than any Quarterback in the East. Stats aside, film doesn’t lie.
Our boys did their job when they needed too!
I have. Hickory is elite offensively. Proud of how Crest played. They gave a great effort…Better than most could give from the west. The last time crest saw an offense like that was when they had it the last couple years!B.S......That coach ain't won nothing where he's been. Crest ran 3 plays with success and then decided they were going to win and went brain dead and looked out of shape in the 4th quarter. You don't need to give Hickory any credit, nobody has for two years now, just accept the fact that Hickory laid 63 points on Crest's defense!
Totally agree , well said !Am I disappointed, sure, but if I had told you that Crest would had the season they had before it started, how many would have believed? You pretty much lost your entire offense and were starting over with new coaches. Most felt like it would take a year for things to settle in. Despite that fact, Crest had some great wins and stood toe to toe with the defending state champs. Not to bad for a rebuilding year. I have no issue with the QB coming to the sidelines, he was still pretty new to the offense and the communication with his QB is important to Coach Lloyd. I was lucky enough to help serve the players and coaches breakfast Thursday morning. I must say it was very polite group of young men, but I told my wife, as we were standing there, this is just a group of kids that are playing a game. What right do we have as grown folks to ride them or the coaches, who dedicate so much time away from family for very little, like we do? I love the passion that we show in supporting our teams, but at times the other side of the coin just seems dirty. My wife had to move from her seat last night because of the filfth that some people were spewing at the coaches and players. No doubt the coaches will get together and look at the film. They will figure out what worked and what didn't and plan accordingly. The players will hit the weight room and focus on getting better. I am thankful that we have Coach Lloyd and Coach Toms home. I know we see the product on the field, but their impact off the field has been just as important. Again, a big congrats to Hickory. You have a special team. Some of the throw and catches were amazing even with good coverage and the defensive front getting after Stober. As always CHARGER PRIDE! Already looking forward to next year and the changes that are coming with the new realignment. On to hoops season. Coach Levine should have a pretty good squad again this year.
GOOD FOLKS evidently you didn't meet CRESTRULZ and THE BIGSAUSAGE.
My bad man. I told him I would and then I simply forgot due to the wild nature of the game.LOL. I thought I was going to get to meet Rulz. One of the guys behind me said he was going to come by, but I never saw him.
Hopefully we'll catch up sometime, Rulz.
No sweat. Nothing much to me either. I just love some high school football and the banter on this site.My bad man. I told him I would and then I simply forgot due to the wild nature of the game.
I apologize to you. I just want you to know that I’m thoroughly disappointing in person. Nothing much to me at all.

The West is better than the East so it may appear that way from your standpoint. Regular season schedule aside, Stober played the same way to lead them to a championship last season and the best 3A team from the East was apart of that schedule.playing that cupcake schedule
Don’t let ol Rulz fool you he’s an outstanding man and I’m glad to call him a friend….No sweat. Nothing much to me either. I just love some high school football and the banter on this site.
Everybody on here gave the Hickory QB his props. Everybody on here said he was great and made unreal throws. Sausages said nothing of the Hickory players, he spoke only of our team. Why the need to wake up this morning and make up another screen name to bash #0? He made a couple bad decisions but put up 48 points while banged up. 48 points is not a "real qb?" Go troll somewhere else.Does anyone else remember Big Sausages saying that #0 gave Crest the best chance to win?
