I wouldn't be a concord fan anymore either after that beat down either, but I can understand your false hope after hearing scores from the games the last 2 weeks from a crest team that was not healthy and very banged up you just caught the real healthy crest team.
Congrats to the Crest football team. You truly showed on the field last night that you are the best 3AA team in the state. The players and coaches showed great sportsmanship on and off the field.Hat off to you and i hope you go all the way.I just wish some of your fans would act with half as much class as you showed lastnight.I know crestrulz and a couple of other posters will read this and jump all over me calling me a clown and telling me how i should be ashamed of Concord and the field situation but just remember i don't have anything to do with that. Do i wish things were better, sure i do. But at the end of the day it is what it is.I think Crest played one hell of a game with the field being like it was.Crest High School and the fans have something to be very proud of,the coaching staff and players were first class down there on the sidelines lastnight.
You take this way too seriously. I wish your kids had not called out kids what they did. I heard it myself. Other than that we had a good time. The field conditions were deplorable, I know you do not personally have anything to do with that, but it's time for that community to stand up and demand that it be fixed.Congrats to the Crest football team. Concord blows!!! Crest has went threw all of Charlotte again.....Cleveland County is football in this great state of N.C.!!!
I never heard anything come from the players, not saying they didn't say these things. Was on the chain gang on your side of the field.Your coaches and players were first class.21,35,7,16,58 were all they have been talked about.21 gave me flashbacks of Rocky Reid.Saw all of his holes and hit them in stride. Was a horse to bring down.Just wish Concord would have played up to their potential and played a better game. We would have had to play a perfect game in order to beat them.I'm not sure if Crest could have played a better game or not, they looked perect to me.Good luck next week and bring home another championship. You take this way too seriously. No prince buy he is yourLol. Are you the prince?
Like it or not you are apart of Charlotte, that's how we see it from Cleveland County your daddy in football....I see they dont teach geography at Crest. Concord is in Concord, the other teams are in other surrounding counties. Chargers and Spiders are basically in the same region.

Hate on Chopper. That's all you have. We're 45 for our last 46 and 31 in a row. None of us really care what you think. The team that got off the bus last night, can play with any team in North Carolina. You don't have to like that Chopper, you must learn to love it.by your logic, so are you

Thanks for the kind words spiderdad. Thats what i was trying to tell others about our defense last week vs weddington. We were missing 35 and 58. Makes a big difference. And the best thing is 35,58 and 16 will all be back next year lolI never heard anything come from the players, not saying they didn't say these things. Does anybody have any pictures of the field from last night? I've been there two times long ago and that field was terrible then, I can't imagine what it looked like last night after 5 inches of rain in December.
I had a photographer at the game. www.ncpiedmontsports.com
look in left column and click on photo albums, then 4th round games.
And the best thing is 35,58 and 16 will all be back next year lol
along with some other fine transfers Congrats Bullchargers, sounds like the most complete game they have played in a few weeks now.
They never quit crying. They just don't want to be forgotten, I guess I can understand that. I'm sure Willie and Aaron's parents regret wanting their kids to play at a football school. I'm sure Willie and Aaron wish they would have stayed instead of winning 31 games in a row and a ring, possibly two.Rev, I could explain it, give facts, reasons, opinions, or excuses, but as long as you are engrossed in Upper Cleveland, you would be blinded to anything I might write. Tony was the real deal, but that was a long time ago.
There's a reason Chazz and Sage Surratt played at Mt. Holly as kids but didn't go to East Gaston. Same thing, different school.
I agree. It was Wes Beam's thing. The first time I saw it it didn't bother me. But later I saw the childishness and non sportsmanship in it. No worries here though. It rarely gets used unless we play Highland Tech or The Q Foundation.Beam's personality spread thoughout the fan base and created a dislikable culture. I'm really surprised that a full scale fight never broke out after a game with the whole bomb dropping silliness. Talk about asking for trouble.
Burns program is down now.
Players moved on to a better program to showcase themselves.
Looking for another coach again.
Reap what you sow.

Beam came into his job with tons of talent and skipped town when it ran out. Give him credit for keeping players at Burns but it's easy to look good when you're winning. The community fan base is the problem in Lawndale. Arrogant when you win and blame coaches and other schools when you lose.
Williams would have played DE for Shelby at that time probably!I'm assuming Marquise Williams was supposed to attend Shelby, but moved to Charlotte as a freshman and went to Mallard Creek. I saw the Richard Walker article in the Gaston Gazette/Shelby Star and saw a pic of him with the Cleveland County Boys Club Pop Warner team alongside coach Donnie Davenport.
Did he move for football reasons? Shelby wasn't airing it out 8 years ago were they?
Your players were chanting "there pussies there pussies" coming down the steps to warm up and your talking about class?
Yet here you are on a thread that has nothing to do with you just pissing and moaning. That's all any of you do. I'm glad Willie an Aaron left. They are too. It was a win for all involved. Nobody really wants to be in that God awful mess up there. Fix it or STHU! We don't feel sorry for you, truthfully none of us care. We're rolling bro. To us, that's all that matters. Eat or get Eat. Bottom line.I love it, I make one smart comment and I get the pack of chargers defending themselves and throwing Burns/Beam/coaches under the bus to justify it.... makes my day. I am in no way bitter, I dont lose sleep, and i still pull for my dogs no matter the circumcise that cuts us.
Since you brought it up Rulz, Ill bite.... you can argue till your last tooth falls out, but that 31 precious game win streak doesnt happen if you dont have the help of your Lawndale friends, we both know it. You charger fans will boast, talk smack and live high in your ivory towers but deep down you know that CCS let this team happen, and that some key players are not "real chargers" so enjoy your success now, have your t shirt shop print all your shirts and rejoice in your back to back titles, just remember which players were key contributors to that fine football team that is spread across the county.
last note, our talent pool may have been "down" but the talent could have been deep enough for at least 2-3 rounds had we our unfortunate "transfers" like I said, not arguing , the damage has been done, just like seeing you clowns sprint to the same old defense when ever it gets mentioned....its better than your moms morning coffee and waffles.
notashelbyfan either you can't read or you or you didn't understand my post. I said that the Crest coaches and players acted with class not Concord. If the Concord players were saying that i would never say that was acting with class. No team should ever say anything like that to or about another team. This is the first time i ever watched Crest play and i saw first hand why Crest fans are so proud of their team.Every school should have a fan base like that.Good luck next week and i hope Crest brings home the championship.
No, I do not think there is a problem with certain schools having to claw to keep players from transferring. If that's the case then the school is not doing their job, be better. If a kid from West Charlotte wanted to transfer to Burns to be a brick mason would you be against it? It's about the kids man. Not so you can drop bombs.
Thank you ImaCrestFan. Concord does have a nice football stadium considering the age of it. I would hope that Cabarrus County would take a long look at this situation and put the money ito fixing it.The field is in the worst shape i've ever seen it in. As many football games is played on that field every year you would think they would do something by now.The players and the loyal fans deserve better.Hope we can get up to Crest one day and see a game there. The fans at Crest High School have a lot to be proud of with the player and coaches they have. Being on the side line and seeing how the coaches and player carried themself says a lot about Cleveland County. Good luck next week and bring home another championship.SpiderDad12, My wife and I got to the stadium early and were able to talk to some Concord folks and I can say as a longtime Crest fan that our experience in your town and at your school was first class. The folks at the restaurant before the game gave good advice on the best place to park and were very friendly. The ticket takers were real nice and several of your fans were great to talk to both before the game and after. Although your playing surface was terrible the stadium setting was picturesque. We both really enjoyed our first trip to Concord High and hope we can host your team in future years. Continue to be proud of your team and your community. Although Crest dominated the game, I could see why your team made it to the Western Finals. Those early dropped passes put your team behind the 8 ball and caused them to try to play catch up. This Crest fan was really impressed with our personal experience.
