If baby boy was still playing I would be there but he's a junior in college studying to make more money than me (hopefully).
I will watch it or listen to it in the comfort of my Lazyboy...
Well if we weren't playing Kinston and that how powered air attack of theirs then I'd go to that game myself. I love watching teams like Kinston that throw the ball, it makes for a much more enjoyable game.
Northeastern vs Kinston is the best game in round 1. Both teams love to air it out and with Northeastern entering as huge underdogs as the home team it should be an awesome game.

98 team was probably one of the best teams to not win a championship. Big fullback had trouble hanging on the ball that night from.what i remember. 3-4 fumbles Reidsville took advantage of that. And ultimately won the game. Hopefully we get a chance to return the favor

All Easterns home games were online as of last week. I'm guessing the wise veteran coaching had a hand in that going away.

Got a few playmakers that will make it tough on you. A couple guys on defense who's motor doesn't stop.
From the limited amount I've seen I would say their weak spot is the OL. QB situation may be shakey as well. They benched the starting QB in the last game of the season, so not sure what you will see there.
appreciate your c confidence Otis4411; I feel the same way cautiously, but you have to consider there only 4 round to the state championship this season so in comparison to past years there was no 1st round game, this Friday's game for everyone is in actuality a 2rd round game with no 1st round. My high school football fan buds always had a saying after the first round the culls are gone, so I'm not underestimating anyone. At the same time I'm confident with the Horses playing anyone in the state.
ramble, in that 1998 game the DarkHorse team were seniors of a defending back to back state championships, ranked AP#1 and undefeated. The loss probably goes down as the greatest DarkHorse team to not win a state championship. That era 1994-1988 could have very conceivable been a 5 year run for the Horses. In that 1998 game, the missed ep was awfully close (he had his like 56 straight) but our fullback fumbled 3 times within the 10 yard line One of the notable standouts Willie Parker (UNC/Pitttsburg Steelers) had 254 yards rushing, his DArkHorse game best. The DarkHorse's didnt sling it around the field much!

I would rate this past Friday's Clinton win over WRH one of the Top DatkHorse games I've personally watched in 49 years. I mean it was great they won but if was a enjoyable game to watch. I plan to watch a replay on NFHS sometime this week. I would have this afternoon but went to sleep watching the Masters.
Clinton had close to 400 yds. rushing in that game led by Parker's big night....Josh Duncan (QB for Reidsville) passed for 250 yards and 3 t.d.'s....until I just read a re-cap of the game I had forgotten that Clinton misplayed a punt snap which gave the ball to Reidsville in a good position to score in 4th to take a 34-27 lead....but then returned the favor when Duncan was intercepted by Clinton at Reidsville 19 yd. line which led a Clinton TD with 2 minutes left....XP was missed (2nd miss of the game) and final was 34-33 (Rams winning)..............ramble, in that 1998 game the DarkHorse team were seniors of a defending back to back state championships, ranked AP#1 and undefeated. The kicker was one of the finest kickers the DarkHorses have ever had. The previous year when Clinton beat Shelby for the state title he kicked a 27 yard field goal which at the time were the deciding points of the game and made several successful outs out of our own end zone punts (that team wasn’t use to having to punt) . Some Shelby fans say that was one of their best teams
Another thing I remember about that game was I was doing radio in the press box and it was fine. They had a Short Sugars pork roast and pig picking cake. We were treated very hospitably!!

lol...thing is Wiz...I'm still working 4 to 5 days a week at a restaurant here in town that I've been with off and on the last 11 years since I closed the downtown Short Sugar's....got off work tonite about 9:45...still wired and can't go to sleep...

I agree with you about 95%. The only thing I don't agree with you on is schools like Mcmichael. They're not very good. I'm sure other schools are in by default.
I loved that downtown Short Sugars bbq, pinto bean Thursday and cornbread! Best anywhere!
3 things have to happen for a good kick. Got to have a good snap, a good hold, and then the kick. Many times the snap and hold throw the timing off for the kicker.
Damn doesn't feel like 7 years but its been that long since this game. Just alil throwback vid from the last time these two played.
