Thats cool man, Hey if you haven't tried mixlr yet to listen to the broadcast I suggest that. I hear the quality is leaps and bounds better than the standard oldies1170 website. I'll post the link Friday.
You can listen to it on your phone or ipad or mac or PC its universal.

So HPA does not have anyone going both ways???.....Like RWTW mentioned above Clinton has a handful of key guys playing both sides of the ball....Going to have to dig deep especially if its close in the 4th
Yes we have one starter goes both ways number 21(Cherry) our running back will line up as lb or salfty when things get tough. he played both ways during the reidsville game, Also number 16 (Brown) goes both ways when there are a lot of passing going on.

Clinton in a tight one. Hear is my thinking Clinton has been preparing for a state title game in 2a not 2aa. Once they were placed 2aa everyone just forgot that this is the creme of the crop in 2a. Andrews has been winning and I give credit, but Clinton is a State champion caliber team. R. Skinner is an "elite" RB. B. Lewis is a HOF coach....

And Andrews has been preparing for what exactly? I understand Clinton and its pedigree but, last I checked, we aren't exactly newcomers to winning. Unless I'm mistaken, Andrews is the only school that's won a state title in 4A (twice), 3A, and 2A. Clinton only has one more state title than we do. We are almost always in the hunt for a championship regardless of the classification the state places us in, so I would say we are a "state championship caliber team" as well.

And ima agree with GoNDistance penalties will play a key factor....in Clinton's 2 losses penalties killed us....Against Hoggard we were in position for a potential game winning or tying drive Skinner had a huge run negated by a holding call then a flase start after that we fell apart.....Against WRH QB scored on a sneak to cut the led to 28-21 late in the 3rd false start took the score away then 2 mishandle QB center exchanges killed any chance of a score....also dropped a wide open TD pass late in the 4th....lil mistakes can have a huge outcome especially in a game like this..... I hate to see us lose cause of mental mistakes

This game comes down to the trenches. Our offensive line has been a Jekyll and Hyde kind of line, some nights they are getting blown off the ball and look sloppy and some if not most games though they have been clicking on all cylinders little to no penalties and really getting good blocks. If the O-Line comes to play we have a ballgame, if not then its gonna be a long night.

Defensively we are made to play a team that likes to put it in space because we have a lot of athletes in the back 7 but not a lot of size in the front 4 like the last 2yrs. I've always thought we could handle a spread team better than a power team because we aren't as big up front, but Beddingfield was bigger than us and N. Brunswick was as big as us and we handled them okay but they were big or bigger but didn't run a power game, they tried to spread it out so its hard to tell, but still comes down to the trenches. I say this one isn't more than a TD game for either side. But I could see this one going either way. Just my opinion.

Tootall4yall, I'm not taking up for him but I think you may have taken part of his post incorrectly, granted he's pulling for his team but on the preparation part I think what he mean or what we're aware, this is the first time Clinton has played in the 2AA classification. Since the split divisions Clinton has always played in the 2A classification. All of their success/championships have been in 2A as Clinton has always played 2A since moving from 3A in 1985. We didn't know until the ADE's came out a few weeks ago that the DarkHorses were probably going to be 2AA.. Clinton has always been about in the middle of the 2A classification in the many years prior, but we've been told that Clinton's freshman class is 100 students larger than last year's class and I've been told the 8th grade class is even larger, so it was somewhat of a surprise to a lot of us that Clinton would be playing 2AA. With Clinton's playoff history everyone is pretty much aware of the teams in that 2A part of the classification because generally its the same teams year after year. That being the preparation, with Andrews and Clinton having no history of playing one another the preparation is different. In this 3rd round Andrews will be the 3rd team in which Clinton's never faced before. That's kind of unusual but I welcome it! Everyone down here is well aware of TW Andrews playoff/championship legacy and have much respect for it. If you read our local newspaper today about HPA you would think the DarkHorses don't have much chance, but to the knowlegable, we know differently. I think its going to be a excellent game and I'm encouraged to hear they've made improvement to the field conditions. Lets just hope mother nature continues to cooperate. Looking forward to it! Good luck!

I played football at Duke. HarryT was confusing Distance and me. For the record, if the tarholes were playing the ISIS-Al Queida All-Stars I still wouldn't pull for those wearing that sissy shade of blue!
UNC=Coastal Division Champions!

Wiz, that article was very complimentary of the raiders but in the end they predicted a 21-18 dark horse win.

Hopefully we can keep it close. Clinton will be the best team we've played all year.

Clinton was about to cruise to a state title game in 2a. When they were placed 2aa people forgot that Clinton is a really good team. I think a bus ride to Andrews just might be Clinton's title game and Lewis will have his team playing like it.

Hey GoNtheDistance I was referring to the article Know Thy Opponent in today's Sampson Independent. As far as the prediction that newspaper has 6 high schools to cover and keep happy! What would you expect. Among the fans I know, most say it's a pick'em toss up. Both teams quality teams, quality program history, quality coaches and a quality following. I'm looking forward to it!!!! Any high school football fan whose teams isn't playing and travel isn't a problem might should take in this game. I've looked over the 32 matchups among all classifications Friday night and this matchup stands out as one of the best.

The weather has been nice up here in the triad all week. Cold, but no precipitation. Warmer today and tomorrow, so that should not be an issue. I plan on being at the game cheering on the horses. I was excited they came this way. We will be prepared. It's gonna be a good one! "Be tough be a horse"

Game day!!! Wishing safe travel for everyone coming to the game today. I pray for a hard hitting game with no injuries to either side. May the best team win!

From what I'm hearing on the radio this field is horrible Clinton RBs had a chance to break big runs but continue to slip

The radio guys for Clinton say the field is messed up in certain areas...Slobber knocker so far...

Between the 30s is rough like we said all week. Both teams will lose some big runs. Both teams will gain a free tackle here or there. 2 heavyweights going at it.

Lol 1st half about over....not in even a Hour...Clinton in control 7-0....get kickoff to start the 2nd....

Intercepted by Clinton's Pope to secure halftime lead. Clinton probably would be up 2 scores if not for horrible field conditions

On that fumble Center QB exchange you should not be seeing that kind of mistake this late in the season almost cause up some points....but overall great half especially for the defense...Pope could of had a pick 6 but he made up for it on the interception in the endzone

Wonder if they brought longer spikes for the cleats switch em out on our skill players.....its something we did in 2006 when we played at Bunn that field was a mess

The way this game is going it would be huge if we can get another time consuming drive score a TD...they don't seem to comfortable putting the ball in the air

I hope Bunn wins..They are near the house..Would like to see Clinton this year...Off work next week to....

Close the Deal Clinton...

Helluva game. Let me be the first to congratulate Clinton on a tremendous 14-13 win. High quality teams that traded blows all night. Great effort by both defenses. Andrews unfortunately missed an extra point on their last score but those things happen. Great season by the raiders and good luck to Clinton next week.
