Well with all eyes on WRH vs ED here is the other game going on Duplin County Friday night...Both teams are 1-3 going into the first week of conference play....important to get off to a good start...for Clinton we finally starting to bring it all together hoping we clean up a few mistakes on offense from last game...defense looked a lot better offense not far behind...you can really see a difference in the Oline these last two games since moving Jackson to tackle and starting sophomore Leggett at center.....looks like we settled in on one main offense would still like to see us improve on the pass but for now these next 4 games we can win with ground and pound....Jalen Smith had his best game I seen him have since last year before he tweak his ankle......despite JK being down and having a 1-3 record I still expect to see some fight out of the Tigers this is a rivalry game Clinton has not beat JK since 2000...JK has won the previous 4 games from 2007-2010....prior to that Clinton dominated the series

Did a lil research on the match up don't have the all time record but since 1980

Clinton leads series 16-7 with 4 of those JK victories coming in 2007-2010

one playoff match between the two 1990 Eastern Championship game won by Clinton 39-7

I'd like to see #9 get more involved in the passing game. He made some good plays in the two scrimmages.

I will say this, JK has made a big improvement from what I saw week 1 against WRH to what I saw Friday night at NSJ. Was a 7-7 game at halftime and I thought our defense did a pretty decent job. Offense still is growing and definitely has room for improvement. We do not have nearly the numbers we have had in past years and our guys are gassed by the middle of 3rd quarter. Clinton has had a much tougher schedule to start the season compared to ours and I expect the Horses to literally run away with this one in the 3rd quarter. Prediction Clinton 34 JK 17. Go Tigers!

definitely not overlooking JK as we have yet to put together a complete game ourselves, but I feel like the confidence is rising especially after getting that win Friday Night.....if we cut out the stupid mistakes and defense continues to get better I can see us hitting our stride at the right time.....my prediction Clinton 28 JK 14

They should make this game free to enter... so somebody will show up for it

There will be plenty of football fans at the JK vs CHS game. There is some interest in football in places other than ED & WRH. There's lots of football left to be played this season and every game counts.

Dont care if its a yawner it will be nice to see us winning in a blowout instead of sweating it out the last five minutes like the Cape Fear,Northside, and Southern Lee games.....a boring blowout win is fine by me

Clinton scores on Autry run 21-0 still in the 1st quarter.....scored everytime we got the ball....JK may be down but this still a chance to excute and keep our young guys growing and gaining confidence

After a long pass where defender miss timed his jump James Kenan finds the endzone.....PAT missed Clinton 21 JK 6

Clinton scores on Kris Williams QB keeper good runs by AJ Williamson and Jalen Smith.....Clinton up 28-6....7:37 left in half

Halftime Clinton 35 JK 6......JK may be down but hey they beat us the last 4 meetings so im enjoying this

Bad note from this blow out so far 3 lost fumbles in the 2nd half......sloppy ball handling in the 2nd half

Donte McCullen #23 almost gets a pick 6 against his former team....Jalen Smith gets in for the score....Clinton 49 JK 12 late in 4th

Also noteworthy Kicker Chamdler Perry converted all 7 of his PATs and i think out of 8 kickoffs he booted 7 into the endzone for Touchbacks he looked good kicking the ball.....it helps especially when our KO coverage has been suspect at times
