Cleveland makes their way to the Port City this Friday to play the Vikings in a huge 4A East game. Cleveland is 64-13 in their past 6 seasons and they have only lost 5 games during their past 4 seasons. Hoggard is 56-13 in their past 6 seasons. This is the first meeting between the schools. There will be plenty of D1 talent on the field. Cleveland QB Jackson Byrd will be key for the Rams to have success against a very good Viking defense lead by Malakahi West. West will get pressure but can the Vikes contain Byrd? Both teams look primed for a deep run if they can stay healthy. Have to go with Hoggard at home, 24-17.

Both teams played very hard. Cleveland simply made less mistakes. Hoggard was down 22-7 after a two point conv late in the 2nd qrt. They battled back and held the Rams offense out of the end zone in the 2nd half. Trailing 22-20 in the 4th Hoggard ran a screen pass that The Rams read perfectly and had an easy pick six. Hoggard bobbled a snap on a 30 year FG attempt down by 2, and had a bad snap on their 2 point cov attempt to tie the game. Hoggard did get to the Cleveland 25 yard line late but could not score. Cleveland played cleaner and deserve the win. Both teams are really good and will get better. Good luck to the Rams. Vikes have a week off then travel to Wallace to play another very good team.
