It took the efforts of some hard working people to get the new board.
Smash we know how it is. No telling what kind of hoops you had to go through. If Burns and Crest get anything in the next 10 years or more you better believe they will have to raise the money for it. Softball at Burns have been raising money for years to finally have a locker room and rest room. They bought a kit for an outdoor hitting shelter and the parts laid on the ground for damn near a year before the county finally came and put it up.
We're just waiting on the Chase High fundraiser to kick off. Gonna paint it blue and sell it to them for $100k.

A little fun fact on the impact of athletic bloodlines in Cleveland County. Kings Mountain has a really good relay team in track for the 4x100 and 4x200 events. The first leg of those relay teams is run by the son of Shelby great Quickie Williams, the 2nd and 3rd legs are the sons of former KM football alumni, the anchor of this relay group is the son of former Crest great Travis Padgett. Just an interesting observation I made watching these guys run.

Looks like the offers have been flowing in for Pettis after going in portal.
I am excited for the start of Spring football beginning next week. It’s always good to get that early look see. There is still a lot that can happen between now and the start of the season with coaches or players but this KM team is going to be the real deal barring any significant injuries to key positions. This group is talented, hungry, and accustomed to winning. These kids jumped right back in the weight room hard the Monday right after our playoff loss. I believe this KM has the goods.

That’s a good one lol. Not last year though. We entered last season with eight new starters on each side of the ball. We had no idea who the quarterback was going to be and we lost five transfers that we thought would step in and be key pieces. The fact that our coaches got that group to nine wins last season was impressive. We expect much more with this returning group and all the young talented being added to it. I stated multiple times on here last season that you better beat us this season because starting this upcoming season we have the pieces in place to make a run the next couple of seasons. I think Crest has the best secondary in the county and also the best quarterback in the county. Beyond that I believe KM is by far the deepest team in the county talent wise across the board.
Not a word about how impressive Crest coaching staff was last season , new staff and schemes , qb was here for 6-7 weeks came on the middle portion of season. Couple new OL played , LT was out first part of season.
Lost two regular season games basically by one play each game.

I don’t disagree with this post. But I do think KM will have the best 2 receivers in the county but I guess we will see in August

I see the praise above about Lloyd and the staff, the same Lloyd yall dogged for years about winning the big one.... It wont take but another year or two of losing in the playoffs till yall turn on him like a rabid dog and throw him away like you did last years QB when the shiny new penny arrives...

So you look at one game over the whole season. Also we won last year buddy not sure you have much room to talk.
He did about as good against yall as that all world defensive backfield did against Hickory QB
or about as good as we did with the Monroe's QB

In reality Tex should not have been playing in that game with the injury he had. As far as the game KM had more rushing yards, more passing yards, and more points on the scoreboard 🤷🏻♂️
