He has been doing real estate for over 15 years I believe. Building on some of the hottest land in the southeast right now. Literally, less than a minute from the casino. The land across from him was the proposed site for an even larger development. The community across from that big project that's almost complete and filled saw prices jump from $228k at start of build about 3 years ago to now the homes are listed $395k for the exact same homes. The first buyers in that community where all from CA and probably have never stepped foot in NC. The casino is almost done paying for the road infrastructure and once that is totally done,the real casino(5k permanent jobs) will go up and the other entertainment district projects(1000s more job) will start. Add a fully opened 2 Kings Casino to the KM Touchdown Club war chess and its a perfect combination with the jobs parents could get by moving to the area.
Heck yeah!!! I went up to harrahs casino in Cherokee not long ago, Holy moly that town surrounding the casino is the most amazing junk yard I ever saw! I think I saw at least 50 homemade tent housing developments. I’m so proud of KM. You guys are going to be awesome in 20 years…Thank God 74 and 85 allow us to drive around that future hell hole.
It’s amazing when I think about the timeline of all of those projects in that part of Kings Mountain. I remember when land down near the Compact area of KM was being “imminent domained” for what many thought was only roads and highways. There were others who made a nice penny with land sales at the right time. It’s just fascinating to watch all this take place.
The big problem is that we are building all these new homes but no where to put the kids our schools are full. Working in education we are going to have a issue in a couple of years. Our schools can’t hold all the new families that will be coming in from the new homes.
Think more along the lines of outlet mall and sports and concert venues. Def not like up that way. I know the homes near their will all be higher end, I just hope the city put in ordinances to control signage and other small things like that in order to keep it neat looking instead of who has the biggest and brightest signs.
I know several of the people that owned property and they definitely got paid. The ones still holding own will make even more. Had the opportunity to buy the land directly across the street from casino entrance about 4 months before it finally got its approval from the dept of interior. At that moment I wasn't able to make a move but the price to what it's going to be worth now, man. It was very cheap because it didn't seem like it was ever going to get approved.
They definitely have to look at expansion for intermediate and middle school first. The elementary schools are ok right now but as families grow, a new elementary would have to be built because none of the existing really have room for significant expansion. The high school could do a totally separate night grade wing on existing land.
There were talks at one time of making the intermediate school, another elementary school and moving the fifth graders back to their home elementary school and adding six grade to the middle school but there’s no room to do that either. The only two elementary schools that are not really at capacity are east and north.
If the Casino kids don’t get as much playing time as they want they will build there own school and that will ease over crowding😂😂

I'll belive your casino gets built when I see it. It's been 2 years and they haven't laid the first brick. All they have done was get caught greasing palms of Eddie Holbrook, Nikki Haley and others, violating federal law. Everything about this casino stinks and has been crooked since day 1.
Had to build the new bridge and the roads widening project first. Heavy equipment couldn't go across the old bridge because of age and width. Casino had to pay for it all. The infrastructure is on pace to finish by end of winter and build will start after, I am guessing spring.
Work in silence they do , been doing that for 100 years.
It doesn’t matter how many families Binky brings in you will never win a state title in football.
