Huge crowd and bunch of scouts at Crest/KM game with 2 picks and almost 3 change things for him also
A ton of college coaches have been making the rounds through Cleveland County the past few weeks. The county has some talented underclassmen who are about to make their mark.

When we start looking at the 2024-2025 football season. I believe it will go as followed:
1. Shelby
2. Crest
3. Kings Mountain
4. Burns
I put Shelby Edging out crest for the number one spot just because of experience coming back at the quarterback position for Shelby. Melton will do a good job at quarterback for Crest, but might take a couple games. It hurts for me to say that but I think KM will be doing some rebuilding at the beginning of the year and hope to be strong by the end. It will all come down to QB play for KM.

This young KM group is going to surprise some people. They are going to be much better than people think especially later in season. I am excited for this young group. KM lost a lot on defense but defense is always the easiest thing to rebuild. They have a couple of young guys that would have started for many teams that will be absolute studs the next two seasons on defense. 3 of those new young full time starters have a chance to be power 5 kids when all is said and done. The 3 full-time starters that are returning on defense all made 1st team all conference. A great nucleus to build around.
The offensive line is going to be big, talented, and young. KM will have two good backs with one of those backs receiving his first D-1 offer a few days ago. A really good wideout returning but we did lose another wideout to Gaffney by way of transfer. The quarterbacks have been working hard in the off-season so qb play should definitely be improved. (Gaffney must have a great NIL program because at last check the Indians have already brought in double digit transfers including at least three transfers from Cleveland County for their head coach last season at the helm). KM should be decent in 2024 and a definite contender in 2025 but all of this can change by fall based on final rosters.

I agree with your rankings. I think Burns will have the same season next year as they did this year. More than likely going 0-3 in the county and winning the other games. I'll be very interested to see who we go with at the QB position. This is the first year in a long time that I can remember us not really knowing who the QB will be. That's the thing that scares me.
I wanna see Crest during spring ball practice before I diagnose my team😂 we will welcome all county team to the newly renovated Sid Bryson Stadium this season..
You've got two players that will possibly not be at Burns next year...

One of our receivers transferred to Gaffney also. Gaffney is bringing them in by the boatload lol
KM talks a good one but we know how that worked out last season against Crest
They had the greatest defense in the history of CC , lol
And lost a ton off that defense
I expect KM to improve as year goes on , we shall see at the end where we both stand.
The rankings are pretty accurate as of now

Having to replace a lot of production on the offense. Have very talented and young skill kids coming up that played some last season

Last time I seen Crest the most unstoppable offensive engine in the world that we heard about all year from Crest fans begin leaking engine oil once the better teams showed up on the schedule 🤦🏽♂️. Anyway on to 2024 lol

I watched all those YouTube videos of your head-coach acting like he was the head-turd in the punchbowl with that big forehead and his Mo Howard haircut talk crap right up until the greatest defense of all time was ran through like a cross-dresser in prison. The mere fact that they trotted that QB out there all year and didn’t try the other kid tells me all I need to know over there. He’s got about 2 to 3 more years of that same crap and Binky will run him back down to South Carolina (wait he can’t go back) and then beg someone else to take that cursed place over.

As I was saying before I was so rudely interrupted with a shot aimed my way lol. I like the progress of our young kids. Hope we can keep’em. I am not sure why complimenting some of the young KM kids progress is so offensive to some of these scrubs. Never made a prediction or mentioned a fanbase until provoked. Oh well. I guess I can do that now.
As for as a state title I think Shelby may be the only one in the county that has a legit shot at a title this year. The Lions still have to get by what I believe will be a good Reidsville team. Shelby’s qb and rb will be a problem for everyone. I think the Bulldogs let their window of opportunity pass along with my Mountaineers. Crest should be decent but there is separation in my opinion between Hickory, Dudley, and everyone else in 3A for this upcoming season. Scotland County is my darkhorse to make a move for state contention. South Point and West Charlotte also should be pretty good in 3A. We still have a while to go. Back to the lab!
