Harsh reality, we are. Still give Crest credit that they won but fans and even coaches are still upset and embarrassed over the loss. Huskey played extremely well and was great but Gaffney did not show what we can do and had a large amount of significant injuries that the "next man up" wasnt ready for. Credit to Crest, every team deals with injuries and sickness and got to have the next guy ready. Crest did, Gaffney didnt.

I know these ignoramus Gaffney fans I work with are still mad. They see a Crest shirt every other day. Plus I filed on my insurance for a neck injury I had from watching our receivers blow by their defense backs all night.
Crest was simply to fast. Gaffney got off the best not knowing and then learned. 0 is still a punk.
Screw Gaffney. But I am glad we got them the first game of the year. That suprise factor definitely helped. They look to be taking it out on evryone now.

I think I’ll pick some random fan base that has a bunch of posters and just start talking junk to them and see where that leads! There’s always that one in the lower ranks that has a good looking team early , and someone that either saw them and or lost to them proclaims they could beat most 4a teams …
I’ve seen it happen over on 2a just waiting to see if one of em says it again and I’m gonna probably go all in and give y’all a shout to also tell them they couldn’t beat anyone in Cleveland County much less most 4a teams

I think by now EVERYONE has HEARD that THE MIGHTY CREST CHARGERS aka[SUPER TEAM] BEAT GAFFNEY you would have thought that they BEAT the KANSAS CITY CHIEFS.
This is what worries me about the Crest/South Point game. South Point's game plan will be to put together quarter long drives going 3 yards at a time. If Crest can get one stop or turnover Crest wins as SP will never be able to stop the Crest offense. May be a matter of whoever wins the coin toss and scores first, wins.
You are right bro. Crest has to stop them twice at least. If they go on those 90 yard drives and chewing the clock it'll be tough. If we can ever get up by 14 it's over..

- Ashbrook has 46 players on their roster. Kings Mountain has 12 Ashbrook players on their roster along with 35 players from Gastonia.

Let an old man have some fun! I know our schedule is soft as Charmin. 4-0 is a lot better than 0-4, believe me I know. We should be 7-0 by mid Oct, then get Burns and Shelby and then my fun will be over.
Enjoy it man. This year along with the last 2 years have been great for your program. Especially given the many seasons before that, where it was embarrassing. Live it up and celebrate it. Seasons like this will help build that program back up.

It looks like my Mountaineers are pretty close to being 100% physically for the first time all year. Coaches did a good job of moving kids around while building depth at the same time. Hopefully we will have all eleven starters on both sides of the ball ready to roll soon. Defense is really about to take another step up. Looking forward to the conference schedule.

Yep I try to not to put the horse before the cart normally but as a football purist it’s hard not to think about it sometimes. We all want to see it. I am looking forward to a matchup of the unstoppable force vs the immovable object. Crest’s Offense vs KM’s defense. Strength on strength. Other high school coaches in the area are already talking about they want to see the matchup themselves lol. If both teams come in 9-0 with one having a dominant offense and the other a dominant defense the environment is going to be insane the whole week.

I agree. I hope that both teams are playing their best with all of their guys. The interest from around the state will be high also. I am really interested in the Crest vs SP game also. I really do not think they will be able to slow you guys down much because of the emergence of your running back. Last year SP was dropping eight but they cannot do you guys like that this year because of your rb.

He has a heck of a highlight reel for the first three games. Some tremendous throws.
We hope he gets some chances/ offers from schools. He’s not the tallest but he’s got a strong and accurate arm and he can run. He’s really worked hard and has gotten better every season.
If I was recruiting for a college I would be all over him … I think he’s just a winner regardless what position he’s playing in college. Little things like watching him come off the field after a series that didn’t go well …head up and positive… no pissy body language… he a real winner and leader .. from the 4 games I have watched him
Heard a stat that Crest has been held scoreless on only 4 possessions this year.
This game or Burns/Shelby has to be moved to Saturday or Thursday.
A double header at GWU on Saturday would produce the biggest crowd GWU stadium has seen in years.
Wonder if the coaches have thought about this at all....I'm guessing no. The gates would be huge if they didn't play the same night.
Gardner Webb plays at home that Saturday. But they could do one game on Friday and the 2nd game after the GWU game that afternoon. That would be very exciting.
Question to you CC folk, has any player transferred from one CC school to another DURING the year and played? Essentially playing for two teams in one year.
To be honest move the GWU game to Friday night no one would care.
One transferred from Shelby to Crest in the off season and then near the end of summer transferred back to Shelby
