Chase @ Reidsville

McCombs is tough to bring down but the Rams did a good job containing him most of the game.

McCombs "limited" to 278 yards rushing on 38 carries, 7.3 per carry.
Probably the most rushing yards ever against Reidsville.
Chase 4 of 13 passing for 37 yards
Last-second TD gave Chase 24 points, most allowed by Reidsville this season; previous high 14 by Western Alamance in season opener; 4 other opponents scored 2 TDs.

Some Reidsville stats:
Ram sophomore QB Al Lee 18 of 20 for 331 yards and 5 TDs; 1 rushing attempt for 12 yards, TD.
Note that his first two attempts were incomplete (one of those dropped) so he completed 18 straight after that.

Cam Peoples 6 catches for 101 yards and 2 TDs.
Jaden McCain 5 receptions for 88 yards
Queshyne Flippen 4 receptions for 84 yards and 2 TDs; also 5 tackles and 1 interception
Shyheim Watlington 12 carries, 69 yards, 2 TDs
Lorenzo Mendoza 8 tackles, 1 fumble recovery
Jariel Cobb, Davian Larry, Vince Widerman 6 tackles each.

Total Yards:
Reidsville 445 on 45 offensive plays
Chase 375 yards on 64 offensive plays

Turnovers:
Reidsville 0, Chase 2.

Only stat that may have mattered was turnovers. The people’s bobble early on was a near pick six. The short field and score of 28-6 after the fumble on kickoff effectively ended any chance of chase grinding the clock.

Did the white hat forget his flag? Called a penalty on Chase and I never saw a flag. Then calls back td on the Rams. Jerry even announced “no flags”. Again no flag on the field.
