The NCCA "honorary member" is more like a lifetime achievement award status. Most times when you hear the term "honorary member", you think of someone who is not engaged in that particular profession but has contributed to it.

As mentioned by several people before, I still don't understand why we do not have CE Weatherby Stadium at Doug Brooks Field. He totally deserves it. JMO.

Because HCS has adopted some wacked out policy on naming stuff. I got an explanation a few years ago after David Sherrill was killed an there was a push to name the baseball field for him. I don't recall what the policy is but its typical HC BS.

Some may disagree but Harris Pryor Gym would be appropriate as would Judy Green Court, IMO. We'll never see it.
