Bob Colvin coached at Robbinsville for 19 years and had 16 Smoky Mountain Conference Championships and won 11 NCHSAA 1A State Titles. Probably the winningest Coach in NC history in a reasonably short timespan. RIP.

11 state titles in 19 years! Those are stats that likely won’t be beat. I remember seeing his name on the early Robbinsville teams when I first started looking through all of the year by year playoff history in NC on a website. I did not realize he won that many titles. Prayers sent to his family. I can only imagine all the stories that got told by everyone at his viewing and funeral. I bet he was a standup man. God bless and RIP!

Coach Colvin’s visitation will be Sunday, February 5th from 12-2 at the Robbinsville High School gymnasium with the funeral directly after.
