On to round 3! #1 Kinston seems to be a tall order based off of their record. I see they like to run a 4 receiver set, and sometimes send a man in motion. They also like to run a few trick plays, like the hook and ladder they ran successfully against AG in round 2. Out of all those receivers, I haven't seen one the likes of #25 from Hertford County, so the NE dbs should have plenty opportunities to pick off a few. The Kinston defense reacts very quickly to the ball, so I would run some play action or misdirection plays early and often against them. If NE receivers come to play, I see them having a big game, because stopping the run will be a priority for Kinston. So Eagles, practice hard and smart this week, and study that film.....and let's get the job done this week. Alot of people dont think you can keep doing it, but keep flying under the radar and do your thing. Go Eagles!

Well 28364, it's the 3rd round and right now I dont see any team being under the radar. I do hope that NE continues it's run and my nephew has a great game. Just glad they are playing an outer conf. team so, I don't have to hear that keep playing the same teams over-and-over. Good luck NE

No RaidersRocks, and I'm glad....it was like watching the same movie over and over again.....look at the scores from both Hertford County games...I rest my case.

Not really sure NE is as strong as the last few years teams. Either that or teams in their conference are catching up with them. Hopefully, they can pull off a victory against K. Whoever has the fewest turnovers wins the game.

If NE can pick off their qb a couple times, it will force Kinston to do some things that probably aren't used to on offense. The dbs have been battle tested, now I expect a big game from them as a unit.

That same thing can be said about ALL the games left.

Northeastern 28 Kinston 21. If you get to Kinston's QB enough he will get raddled. Kinston primarily runs the ball. Have a pretty solid RB and a short one they like to use on jet sweeps. Up front they're pretty big. Really was expecting them to be 2AA but I saw they have almost 100 less students than NHS. Kinston has always been 2AA. Should be a good one! I know NHS fans will be making the trip to K-Town.

Not really. I said that because Kinston runs a 4 receiver set, with draws and quick hitters up the middle. But the pass is their bread and butter. Slow it down and make them try to run. Every team left is not the same.

Back in 2012 when we (tarboro) played you guys in the 3rd we played Kinston in round 2. I'm with you though big bird, shocked they don't have more students than they do.

Never said, every team, I said, every game. In each game if a team gets to picks or two fumble or any two types of turnovers, it'll make a difference in a game.

Yeah that Tarboro was really good that year and we was to but we just had to many people playing both sides of the ball but they was the better team that year

Jamieon Moss is still at V-Tech. Marquis Whidbee on the other hand, no clue.

Northeastern up 13-0 at the half..
TOTAL DOMINATION in the 1st half by NE. Kinston reached midfield once! NE even had a TD called back on a phantom holding call. 2nd half coming up!

See you next week. We are having no problems over here. I mean NONE. 42-12. Not even halftime.

Correction..yall will be facing kinston...they won 14-13. Kinston won't win another game.....and that's not sour grapes...sad and pitiful at the same time.

SWE'98 easy game for yall next week I don't know how they won every not less they had the same refs

In the second half we got a flag almost every play and you say try again you would have to be there

And the the one they picked up for running into the kicker right that would have gave northeastern a first down right

They threw a flag for roughing, but the kick was blocked meaning no foul. These refs are from neither schools region. They just call the game how they see it. You can't argue the false starts and the holding. They were clear. One team played 47 minutes, the other team played 48. That's about it

Like I said we missed a kick but do yall have someone every game yelling in the end zone my first time seeing that only at 7 on 7

Kinston got away with a push off in the end zone for the gw TD. Lot of holding calls for NHS and barely anything on Kinston. I'm not blaming this on the refs, but NHS had opportunities to score inside the 20 but kept geting called for "holding". Should've hit the FG at the end to go up 9. Props to Kinston's offensive line, QB hardly got hit.

Yeah everything you said was true but big bird have you ever seen people in the end zone the whole game like that

I have not. I'm not sure why they were. I've seen a couple highlights before of NC schools with people in the back of the end zone before

Are you saying that they were literally in the end zone, as in on the field, or were they like on the grassy area at the end of the field?

Kinston was dominated for 3.9 quarters. Takes 4 to win. There were alot of calls against NE after big plays. Seemed like it was the same ref each time. The blocked field goal was the difference with 2:00 min. left. After seeing SWE play, they win easy. Their defense will be much better coached in the final 2:00 minutes for sure.

NHS lives and dies by the Cover 0. Only works if you get to the QB quickly, and tonight he barely got touched

I was at the game and no dog in the fight. North eastern lost that game. They had it but played for the feild goal with a litte under 2:00 minutes left. There mistake Kinston drove 92 yards in minute 20 seconds. Again north east went to prevent defense. When they were holding them all night long. We knew it was coming. It was a great game played to the wire. Again refs were fair and both got calls. But no phantom flags. All were justified and refs did good job.

Northeastern had a bunch of games that could have gone either way this year. Their wins and even their losses. It just looks like it went against them this time. A lot of people felt like they lost the game last week had it not been for a poor angle by the ref in calling a TD out of bounds. Best way to avoid that is to take it out of the ref's hands and put points in between you and the opponent. After years of doing just that, it seems like NE was unable to do that this year. They will be a player again next season.
