Still kinda odd that they allowed first points on the board in the last three playoff games.but they didn’t go up by 2tds
I've been digging into stats this morning but I'll let RamBBQ remember this ... didn't Mount Airy and/or Eastern Guilford also score first against Rams?Still kinda odd that they allowed first points on the board in the last three playoff games.
Rams have shut out 8 opponents and, with one huge exception, nobody else has scored more than two TDs against them. They are allowing only 8.2 points per game - throw out the 55-point East Surry game (can't do that, I know) the defensive average in the other 14 games is 4.9.
Eastern Guilford did...a field goal....Reidsville went on to win 59-16............versus Mount Airy...Reidsville scored first against Mount Airy ,but MA did tie it a 7.....Reidsville went on to win 45-14...I've been digging into stats this morning but I'll let RamBBQ remember this ... didn't Mount Airy and/or Eastern Guilford also score first against Rams?
That’s great glad it was switched to 3 now I can make the game on time!Game is next Saturday @ 3PM
Glad they made this the 3:00 game. Sure Northeastern was coming Friday regardlessThey really should play this game whenever Northeastern chooses. If they have to play at 11am then NE will have to stay overnight Friday. Otherwise they would have to leave Elizabeth City about 4 am and then stop on the way and eat before going to the stadium. Entirely unfair to Northeastern.

So after this game, two 1AA schools can lay claim to a share of the 2A title... or maybe 3 1AA schools.
Both of you should be ashamed.
For sure ... Reidsville made West's super receiver No. 13 a non-factor in the game. The defensive game plan they had vs west stokes is what they should have had against east surry.

Pfffft! You're funnyeee!
Last time I checked, you strap'em on and line'em up... and it's just 11 on 11 on both sides of the ball. It doesn't matter the size of the school or town you represent... it's the talent you're gifted with, how you've grown into whatever role you're in... and it's what's in your heart. Good coaching and support system? Of course! But when it comes down to it... it's just "mano a mano". Reidsville lost. Period. They lost to a better team that night. Give East Surry their due and kudos! (I think the record shows that the Blue and Gold faithful have).
But (and I'm LAUGHING) to imply that Reidsville's season or possible championship isor would be a fraud because they lost to a 1A team? You know no-thing about football and only want to be insulting...
Be GONE with you troll!
Great game last year and expect nothing less this year. What's the big difference in NE this year vs last year. I know we're down 1 Canada and Rankin; and you guys are minus 1 Freshwater, fantastic young man by the way.
Pass and Pinnix have continued to mature and get better. Lionel Long has become a great running back. 14 TDs in post season. He was 23 yds from breaking single game record last night. Coach pulled him. Reidsville D is still very good especially since our loss to East Surry
Nope... they need to get a LOAD of Quasi in the backfield. It was so much fun watching the deep pass to him last night lol. Safeties and the CBs were scared to death having to tackle the Quazz Monzter! After that play, it raised the level of play for the whole team. Quasi is the spark plug for NE. Everyone else on the team feeds off of the power, physicality, and determination he has with the ball in his hands. Even the coaches.Wait till you guys see Little Freshwater!!! He's 6'4 I believe and probably around 235ish. He's only a sophomore but is very very fun to watch!!! I have no clue about how I think this game will go but one things for sure our defense is fun to watch. We're not a boring team by no means which usually makes for an exciting game. I hope we get to see our dual qbs sling it all over the place but we'll have to wait and see. Reidsville seems to be pretty damn strong
They have a sophomore on the roster named Kaveon Freshwater, listed at 6-3 and 245.
Elizabeth City also features a big fullback - 6-foot-1, 270-pound senior Quasi Thomas. He scored in last year's game on the deflected pass that gave Elizabeth City an early 14-0 lead.
The Rams would have most likely beat the cardinals if they had of played Gosnell the same. West quarterback held the ball too long but the Reidsville defense was much improved having seen both games. To beat Reidsville you have to have a ball control team and finish drives. Not many high schools have a quarterback, running back, receivers combination like Reidsville. For sure ... Reidsville made West's super receiver No. 13 a non-factor in the game.
Apparently he's still a growing young man ... thanks for the infoHe is a Junior fyi.
Me personally, I think Reidsville slept on ES. They thought this was going to be an easy game and got fooled. The Rams would have most likely beat the cardinals if they had of played Gosnell the same. Don't know about that ... Reidsville defense wasn't ready for the future ACC guys that's for sure ... but Reidsville did put up 49 points. Until Mitchell scored 28 in semifinals, East hadn't given up more than 14 all season. I was thinking after the win at Reidsville, East Surry would easily roll into the rematch with Tarboro but they've had some tough tests the last two weeks.Me personally, I think Reidsville slept on ES. Yea they have. Heard it was a blown call that really hurt Mitchell also. East Surry also had a problem with stopping Mitchell's run game. They better fix that problem before Saturday.Don't know about that ... Reidsville defense wasn't ready for the future ACC guys that's for sure ... but Reidsville did put up 49 points. I believe the players nor the coaches was prepared for ES offense, I saw Gosnell interview where he said “he couldn’t believe Reidsville played him in man coverage”. Gosnell is good but we made him look like a 5 star athlete. Carolina was at the game so I’m convinced We also helped him secure his scholarship with Carolina.Don't know about that ... Lost about half of that line from last year. Still got a solid line. Matchup to watch will be Reidsville WR’s vs Northeastern’s DB’salso the old adage applies....the best pass defense is a great pass rush....Reidsville's O line has done a good job all season giving Pinnix time to pick out his corps of fine receivers....I'm sure NE will bring it this coming Sat......line must be ready.....................
Guess I was sitting under your skin for a bit

this is a running joke....Reidsville has not been shutout in a game since 1997 (1st round of playoffs)........323 games ago...........................
Thankful for that lucky bounce on the crossbar though....

Is this the time to talk about strength of schedule? The shutouts were against teams ranked the following in the state: 266, 360, 236, 267, 364, 262, 232, and 259.
Is that really something to be proud of? Where is the great poster @Blue and Gold22 at to put you in your place for bragging about something so laughable?
I’m back finally figured out my old password
