Mega matchup this evening with Myers Park at Carmel Christian. Should be a packed house. This is one of those games. Man I would like to be at this one. Game time start 7:30 this evening 1/14.

Last account I seen on Twitter Myers Park was up 42-36 over Carmel Christian at start of the 4th. Place is jam packed.
Ok just got the update. Carmel Christian came back and won 52-51 over Myers Park. Wow what a game. I imagine the crowd went crazy tonight.
Grimsley’s last 5 wins:26, 30, 31, 35 and 36 point margins. Yesterday, they plastered Parkland 78-28. 2nd half of Metro 4-A Conference play starts this week. Football players are now in basketball shape.

I was not able to be at Lake Norman-Cox Mill game. Asking if Cox Mill is a more mature team than LN ?

Looking at Cox Mill warming up, My thoughts was LN will get beat in this game. Started out Cox Mill took a small lead but was only up by 1 end of 1st. And about 7 at the half. . Then in the 3rd Cox Mill built up a 15 point lead. Then LN came back and tied it at 57 end of 3rd. Then it was back n forth until about mid 4th then Cox Mill started building a lead again. LN could never recover. LN missed some key shots, that had the shots would have fell in LN would had at chance winning. I feel like next time they play at LN, LN can have a chance of winning. Cox Mill can be beat but LN will have to play at their best.. Cox Mill looks very talented with some height. They also could be the best team in the conference as well.

Lake Norman and Mooresville had a cross town slug fest but The Lake Show was too much, too fast, too deep for their Mooresville neighbors. Won by 9.

Watch out for Richmond County and Paul Mcneil, saw them just blow out
Scotland tonight. A Reasonably close10 pt half lead and just 9 for Mcneil turned into over 30 pt lead and over 30 for Mcneil by the end of the 3rd. I believe he finished with 35 leaving around the 5 minute mark of 4th..

Big game for tonight. 12-7 Cox Mill will be at home to take on 11-4 West Cabarrus. Game date and time 1/24 at 7:30. Both teams are talented and should be a good one.
The show must go on and did at Lake Norman against the Less than Wonders of AL Brown.
Half time score was the Show 31 to 9. End of 3rd it was 53 to 9. ( it might have been 53 to 12, not positive) I think AL Brown finally got 20 points against the 3 JV players and 2 reserves for LN in the fourth qt.
Lake Norman is really maturing as a team and the aggressive style of defense will just make it very hard for any team except the very best.

Reynolds beat Enka and is in good shape to win the Mountain conference.
I did find out that West Cabarrus defeated LN in the JV game 47-45. This would give LN JV boys a 11-2 (6-2) record. But not sure about how the JV girls game turned out.
The jv boys are good, however, the jv girls...well.. lets just say the Coach has great patience and he has handling each and every one of the thousands of opportunities with great pose and understanding.
McDowell has a flu/covid outbreak and had to postpone tonight's game vs North Buncombe.

2 key games coming up for the Greater Metro 4 conference. Lake Norman will be at Hickory Ridge on 1/31. And on 2/3 Lake Norman will be home against Cox Mill. Should be a good contest in the boys game this next week.
McDowell comes back from over 30 points down to upset Enka in OT. Big boost for the titans playoff hopes. Especially if they can win 2 of the next 3.
