Mount Airy's Jordan Newsome and Greg Greene went out with injuries in the 3rd Qtr. Greene had a cut above the eye. They play East Surry Friday night and it sounds like a repeat of football season the game before East Surry but I believe these 2 will be back for Friday's game. I didn't catch what happened but the 2 Bears may have collided and Newsome may have a concussion and Greene may need stitches above the eye. That is what my take on what I heard on the radio WPAQ. I may be wrong.

Congrats to the East Surry & Mount Airy Boy’s Basketball teams on there wins tonight . The regular season concludes Friday with Senior Night for East Surry vs. Mt.Airy. May the best team win !

Got to say the Mount Airy Girls have done great considering they lost 4 starters off lasts years State 1A Champion Team. I believe Shaunae Sawyers is the only returning starter.
