So far 5-8 & 0-3 Mount Airy is hanging with 14-3 & 3-0 Bishop.
If the Bears can win this one it could turn their season around some.

The WSPrep vs North Stokes was @ North Stokes so no telling when we will get a score because NS is so far out of cellphone range, we have to wait for someone to get back into civilization to post a score. Sorry but facts are facts and it is not NS's falt the cellphone company's want put a tower in Danbury !
North Stokes goes toe to toe with Prep. Tough home loss for the Vikings. Final score 78 to 71. Vikings played great tonight. Down 10 at start of second quarter North goes on a 21 to 6 run to lead at the half 38 to 33. North goes up 12 in third quarter. Prep came back and hit free throws down the stretch. North played a great game against a team that we all know recruits. Too bad 1a basketball has come to this. A team as good as North should be on even ground with all other teams, as well as Mount Airy, East Surry, and South Stokes all have had great teams in recent years but we have Prep there. The NCHSAA must do something.
Still a win for North Stokes. WSPrep draws from a population of 365,000 people and can draw from the whole county of Forsyth. BS in my opinion.All of Stokes County has only a population of 47,401 . Hadd for the NWC to match that.6 point loss is a Win with those odds and nothing to hang their heads down about. It's called Advantaged schools with open enrollment ! ! !
Forsyth County Schools with open enrollment and private schools need to be kicked out of our 1A. It is so unfair. That is why no one is keeping up with the NWC and posting scores anymore. It is a stacked deck and the NCHSAA is at fault and not the Forsyth Co. private and open enrollment schools. Bishop has asked to be excluded but ignored and Forsyth Co. wants the NWC because they draw a good gate for them and the (Forsyth Co.) brings a small 50 or 6o mainly a few parents. Bishop & Mount Airy was a full house tonight. Big Difference. I bet WSPrep barely had 50 or less at NS.
