Coaching Errors and Job Safety

We're all human and make mistakes, but in the coaching profession mistakes seem more noticeable. And some keep making mistakes. Which got me to thinking. What errors or mistakes cross the line enough to where job safety goes out the window?

This past season alone, we've seen a Head Coach get a DWI, a team forfeit the entire season due to the 8 qtr rule, & a team forfeit all playoff wins due to an expired physical.

I've noticed when these things occur, the general consensus on social media is that heads will roll. However, that's usually not the case. It does seem odd when these subjects have had more than one offense or issue.

So, the question beckons when is job safety truly in jeopardy?

Because of past history and severity of the incidents, in my opinion 2 of the 3 I mentioned should be job hunting. But that's just me, what's your opinion?

Fondly remembering a fond memory of yesteryear, I remember strollin' along the sun drenched beach, looking for the salt shaker that Barbara " Sucker " Tucker had misplaced the prior evening during the mayhem of " Ten Cent Likker Night, " gazing at all the tourists with all that gooey crap that resembles motor oil all over their individualized person, nibblin' on Sponge Cake that Aunt Bessie had baked two months prior to this particular event, proudly displaying the " West Bracket Sucks " tee shirt that my ex-wife Priscilla , now Mister War Head's significant other, had given me back during our wanderlust days, and wondering when I'll have to return to the Flip Flop Store to purchase more of the footware that all East Bracket participants don all year while the West Bracket participants search for used beer tops with the geiger counter they bought in the Hillybilly Pawn Shoppe, carefully shining their Brogan boots to cover up the " mess " one of the inside goats left last night.

Research help

I'm posting this for Tom Dierolf. Even if you don't have any film or photos from this era, I would encourage you to check out his website and listen to the interviews.
-------------------------------------------------------------
We are looking for film/photos for a short film documentary on the 1963 Brevard High School (BHS) football team, the first racially-integrated public high school football team in NC, who went on to win the Western State Championship. If you have film/photos regarding any of the three focus areas listed below and are interested in supporting this project please contact Tom Dierolf (tsdierolf@yahoo.com). To learn more about the film please seewww.almostcured.com.

1. {FILM or PHOTOS] The 1963 Brevard High School football team (maybe someone from another team has film of their game against Brevard that year?).

2. [FILM or PHOTOS] Any NC high school football film shot in that era (1960-64). This includes fan shots, practices, football gear, bands, cheerleaders, refs, etc. (the closer connection to Brevard, the better, be it an opponent that year or geographically (Western North Carolina or the foothills)

3. [FILM only] Small town life (people, cars, roads, buildings, shops, etc.) in Western North Carolina/foothills. (again, the closer to Brevard, the better).

Broughton Vacancy

Just read that Broughton has opened up. Any front runners for this job? With the success that they have had in other sports it would seem that there is potential. One name that I would throw out there is Brian Paschal (Greenville Conley) He fits this position perfectly...A proven winner everywhere that he has been. More importantly a program builder that is sure to be hired up very quickly by a hungry program. I don't have a dog in the fight but if I did I would be contacting him ASAP before someone else does.
