1st game at Bank of America Stadium starting at 4pm on Aug 22 ( Thursday) will be Myers Park n Independence. Im hearing good things about Independence but what does Myers Park have. Any thoughts on this game.

Last year Davie went 7-4 ( 5-2) What will they have coming back. They seem to be a team that can play spoiler. Beat East Forsyth last year. Any thoughts for the upcoming season. I’m interested to see how they will matchup against Mooresville 1st game of the season

Both have good team. Last year Rolesville won 21-19. Any thoughts for this game. Could we see another close one.

Thanks to the Yadkin County Board of Education and Starmount/Forbush policies the Rams lost another player. This one is lost to Mt Airy. Yadkin has to be the most ass backwards county in the entire state. A young man that lives within the Starmount district but went to Forbush for 3 years and wanted to go to Starmount for his Senior year could go to Starmount but NOT play Sports even though he was racially discriminated against at Forbush. The school board denied him the ability to play at Starmount. Mt Airy welcomes him to school over there and he doesn't live anywhere near there school AND is allowed to play sports.

What could've and should've been a special year for the Rams just keeps looking more bleak. I've mentioned losing Senior starters before but it keeps getting worse. SOO disheartening. Definitely don't deserve to be in the top 5.

Huss has a lot of athletes but Draughn should have a solid team again and have gained some transfers. Huss beat them by 23 last year, it will be closer but Huss wins again.

Madison opens with a decent Polk team who is the favorite. Can the Patriots pull off the upset?

Charlotte Latin @ Mitchell

Mitchell is rebuilding a bit but should be a top 2 or 3 team in the conference yet again with one of the top coaches in WNC. They beat Latin last year but this year it could be more difficult, Latin won their first game last week easily.

Mountain Heritage @ Chase

Heritage is the overwhelming favorite to win the conference and possibly go undefeated going into the playoffs. Chase beat them last season but are replacing a lot of players who graduated or transferred.

Enka struggled last year and lost a lot of their offensive production. This could be one of their few chances at a win this season. Owen is bringing in another new coach and will also likely struggle this season. Toss up game.

As we head into the 2024 season, some transfer portal teams have been mentioned. But, in your opinion. what are the top transfer portal teams to watch this season?

Among teams that have been mentioned; Providence Day has been a popular transfer portal destination and have one of the top recruiters in Chad Grier. Others that have been mentioned are Weddington, Grimsley, East Forsyth and Hough. I'm sure there are more.
