All three Surry County teams have the same record. It will be interesting to see who comes out on top. North is the defending champ, so someone has to knock them off. It will all pan out over the next few weeks.

My kids were leaving as it happened. I cannot imagine as a parent what the family is going through. Football didn't exist yesterday. Thanks to everyone for keeping the Burns community in your Prayers yesterday and this week in general as it continues. Football is a game and we all love it but it ultimately is not life. The hug between me and my kids this morning was extended before that bus stopped. Going to be a tough day today for all of the students and the family. Respect to all of you on here.
Bandys last win over West Lincoln was in ‘18…remember Ethan Howard running all over the place in the old South Fork conference. That game was at West Lincoln too. I also saw where Bandys and West Lincoln are 5-5 over the last 10 years. There has been some great games between these two over the years and I think this one will be too. Tough pick here….i really like the Johnnys at home versus anybody…soo…imma stick with West Lincoln to pull this out. Truly a toss up game that could go either way.
I’ll take Bunker Hill over Lincolnton. The Bears are coming off of a tough loss to another 2a playoff contender in Randleman so I think they’ll be anxious to make a statement to the rest of the CVAC. The Wolves will give them all they want though…wait and see.
I’m taking Maiden in a tough win over East Burke. I think this game will be much closer than most think. I look forward to riding over to East Burke tonight to see the JV game…yes AMD I’m going to the ANGUS😜

I was at this game couple years ago when South was at West Cabarrus. I remember well when during the game all of a sudden a bunch of fans on the home started clearing the stands. Not realizing what was going on fans on visitor side started clearing. Come to find out that a fan yelled out someone has a gun or something to that effect. It was a false alarm. I hope that doesn’t happen again.
