No food right close by, and based on above I will not recommend the BBQ (I’m not a big fan of the Lexington red / vinegar based sauce anyway). I’ll get behind the recommendation for Nick’s Old Fashioned Burgers there in Welcome just past ND high any day; I love that place!!! It is about a 10-15 min drive to OGHS - get there a bit early though as the wait can be a bit!!

Aside from that there are a few decent Mexican joints in the same area I’m told (one 2 doors from Nicks, and another about 1-2 miles past Nicks). Aside from that it’s mostly chains unless you do Randy’s (in NDHS parking lot if open for dinner), Steven’s, or the Arcadia Restaurant (last two both in Arcadia/Midway area).

WOW, I would love some good cornbread ! I used to cook a lot but I don't have the patience to cook too often. It is hard to cook only for myself. I tried Food Lion cornbread once and threw it out for the birds. It tasted nowhere near cornbread. lol

Here is the hard truth about this so called discussion board. It is only a discussion board when you talk in favor of certain teams but the truth is that for the last 3 years there is a bunch of haters on here because we have had all of them give us there best shot and took care of business and they can’t stand it. That goes for all of them including moderators, owners and especially mountain posters. The only exception is Tarboro and ER fans because we have a mutual respect for each other. So here is a solution instead of bad mouthing, shutting down post, talking about a persons education and any other comments….SHUT UP and bring your boys up to the granite city and knock us off the perch. We will be waiting and it gonna take a lot more than talk and hatred to do that. Walk the walk then talk. Good luck!!!!

By the way you said natural. That is what sparked the posts on steroids, wigs, etc ... Say what you mean. I don't make excuses, such as when I apologized to a poster about being wrong about when Buncombe county received turf fields. I will admit my mistakes and not hide behind anything.

No one is hating! I just know what happened. Maybe if you stop looking only at Maxpreps, you may have more knowledge. 🧹🧹 under the rug. You only know their seed. You did not know that they tied for the conference. Thus a 13 seed.
