Tuscola was easy to predict, run sweep to wide side of field, run TB up middle, then roll QB to wide side of field and throw it in the general direction of a receiver. Sad for those kids.

If they had tried some misdirection plays I believe they could have moved the ball.

I just hope that all of Tuscolas players got out of there safe and injury free last night and I'm not talking about the game... I'm talking about the locker room post game! (Yeti cups, punches, etc.) Hahaha :D

I believe that is the worst beatdown in Tuscola history. It will take years to turn this program back around if they ever have any interest to try. Terrible leadership from the top down. Hopefully they learned their lesson about letting the players choose the coach.

How is the youth league? I’ve heard lake junaluska didn’t field any team this year? Sounds like football culture is all around bad in waynesville.

I don't know but it wouldn't surprise me. The tourists and the homeless drug addicts that the sheriff wants to fill our town with do not put their kids in sports. Don't know why Haywood County leadership wants to bring them to Waynesville but the school and the town has gone to pot because of poor leadership.

One of my friends who has a kid at waynesville youth has told me the midgets (oldest), aren’t bad. Mites (second oldest), are mediocre, and termites (youngest) have had to forfeit games due to not having enough players. The termites have forfeited today’s game against bethel. Lake Junaluska was undermined by the waynesville crowd, and some players were convinced to come back to waynesville this year, because they waynesville was unable to field teams last year. The way I understand it, most of the mite players refused to play for waynesville and are at bethel this year.

Ditto! And it's only going to get worse. I don't think anyone has announced running against the Sheriff yet, so I guess it'll just continue to get even worse. Russ Avenue to Hazelwood has gone to shit. I'm in that area a lot working and it never ceases to amaze me of the things I see anymore. It all leads back to the pathway center. Glad I live in Canton more everyday.

Ok, I’ve had about enough.

I’ll not talk about the football situation as I’ve promised folks that I would not.

Waynesville Middle School has lost 2 games in three years and won 2 championships. They will more than likely win another championship this year.

I’m from Waynesville but live in Asheville. I’m also a government official and I’m privy to information from several NCDOT planning boards. Asheville is busting at the seams (see I-26 project) and the majority of this huge influx of people can not afford to live in Asheville, so they are coming to Weaverville, Candler, Hendersonville - and Waynesville. They aren’t moving to Canton because it smells like crap and cancer. Let that sink in Canton mouth breathers, slowly. Waynesville has a lively downtown night scene. Canton has Bearwaters and an abandoned YMCA. Waynesville is about to break out like Weaverville and the biggest worry they have is providing enough infrastructure for the boom. Canton’s biggest worry is entirely relying on an active EPA Superfund site that produces an ever outdated and dying product (paper media).

Again, I won’t talk about the football but in the scheme of things - it’s 16 year okd kids, who cares. I will say though to the Canton and Fairview mongoloids on here - stuff always come back around. Remember that.

I doubt that. The current administration will probably just do a write in campaign to get candidates, and then declare it “fake news, and turn around and hire the coach of one of the termite teams in the area, a 3rd cousin once removed:D

Also, you’re an idiot.

Waynesville Middle beat Bethel 38-6 or so this year.

they beat Canton 44-0 and it could have easily been 60-0.

Chad could have ran up the score, we were all wishing he would.

Hey dumbass, I’m in real estate, and a Tuscola graduate. When a house lists in Canton, smell and all, isn’t lasting long on the market. People are skipping the BS high taxes in west Asheville and moving to the East Canton area. Homes $125,000 and under are bought up within 48 hours, and being flipped for a nice profit. The area is in close proximity to Asheville, without having to deal with the overcrowding. The only thing waynesville is busting at the seams with is homeless people, Floridians, and a drunk mayor. Remember, state employee, the “mouth breathers” in Canton help pay your salary.

Between that Asheville crowd coming here and the meth heads they are bussing in, Waynesville is going to be a bigger shithole than Asheville.

If the mill is sending all those retirees to Wayneville that's a good thing. Why don't you ask the Waynesville natives if they had rather have the tourists or Dayco, Welco or the Tannery?Maybe ask the Brevard people if they would love to still have the paper mill and Dupont?

Hey shit for brains,

Nobody wants to live in Canton. If you’re in mixed conversation in Asheville, you have to make sure people understand that your not from Shit Town when you tell them you’re from Haywood County - “Oh is that the place that stinks?” You have Davis Furniture and J-Ro’s sandwich shop down town. That’s it. If Tuscola wins again, they don’t need to run 40 mph down downtown Canton like Pisgah did because nobody will be there to notice it.

It’s a shithole dude and everybody’s knows it. You can’t hardly find a house in Waynesville between $200k and 300k. I’ve been looking. Good luck with your Shit Town flipping there Tuscola grad.

Also,

the mill is making a product that is becoming entirely outdated everyday (paper media and paper food grade products). The instant that place closes it becomes a high level EPA Superfund site. Let that sink in with all your real estate deals going down

You can't judge TuscoLa by Waynesville Middle School. WMS is bigger than any school they play.
Huh?

Bethel and Canton together had about twice our numbers when added together. Bethel was a little bigger than Canton, admittedly. Bethel was very close to Waynesville’s size I’ve been to every game. Also, Smoky had as many we did.

These aren’t druggy Asheville people dude. These are young, urban Northface wearing professionals moving in from Charlotte and Raleigh. They can’t afford to buy $500k houses in west Asheville but they can afford to buy $200-$300k houses in Waynesville. I’ve been competing with them, I know. Does that help football? Who knows, but if you guys think that’s where Waynesville is headed you’re dead wrong. You need to be more worried about them flooding in and raising your property taxes. Now that’s a legit worry. You’ve also got folks that work in the casino and at the college that will be flooding in from the OTHER side. Look at that monstrosity being built on Plott Creek

Hey engineer97, is this you? Heard it is. Can’t you just put you a down payment on a house on a state credit card?

Oh good another Tuscola snob, who doesn’t know his a$$ from a hole in the ground. How has it worked out for NB and Enka HS and their athletic programs with that influx of residents? Same for good ole THS??? Most of the new residents don’t give a crap about the local high school. Easy to talk about wins at a MIDDLE school, moron. Get that championship medal and hang it on the wall, and I bet you kiss it every night before you go to bed. What have the THS jv’s done past few years, how about varsity? Zip, nada, nothing. Pisgah coaches up its kids to be better players Tuscola players flatline after middle school.

that’s great and all but soap shops and art galleries didn’t bring football players. Laugh at canton all you want but as long as there’s blue collar jobs, there will be blue collar families and football players.

so parade all these transplants and retirees you want, it’s exactly what’s killing you football culture.

That’s just it. That’s what these folks love. Will it help the football? Who knows, maybe not. Again, it’s probably better though than making paper that nobody’s going to use in 20 years.

Don’t you have some cancer to go batch up somewhere?
Don’t you have some bridges and roads to fix that are in desperate need of repair?
Don’t

I would say we could meet somewhere off I 26, because I now live in Mills River, but the damn state engineers have the road all jacked up, and I don’t want to get stuck in traffic and miss college football today.

That’s just about what I thought you’d say, almost verbatim.
