Mount Airy over Thomasville 1-0 with a no-hitter and 3 walks in different innings for Mount Airy's pitcher Brison George. It was a pitching duel for Mount Airy and Thomasville tonight. Fast game lasting only about 1 hour 10 minutes.
Will face #5 Cherryville next as they beat #4 Draughn 8-2.
Scheduled to play Friday but not sure if that will happen tomorrow.

Yes that's true, but when you have that kind of top end speed to go with that size you have a pretty good foundation for success. I would agree you with that top end speed is much less important at runningback than say free safety. At runningback quickness, agility and vision are paramount.

Clem does have good agility but needs to improve his quickness and burst, given his height he's probably always going to be more fast than quick though.

I heard the going to a regional format chatter early on but is was mostly about the biggest 32 schools going to a regional format. I haven’t heard much about the remaining schools being in that type of format.
