After the Stallions convincing win at Red Springs, it makes things more interesting about Friday night when the Wolfpack comes to town. If the Stallions play as well as they did Friday night against the Red Devils, the Pack will have all they can stand. What's everyone thinking??

I'm thinking if SC plays as hard as Mr. Twitter was demonstrating it to me during the Red Springs game, it should be an easy win for SC under dry forecast and hopefully there wont be zebras that bring a bunch yellow laundry.

I'm thinking the same thing. If SC comes with the same heart they played with the other night it should be a good game to watch. SC needs to work on their pass Defense and they should be ok. It wouldn't hurt to work on their pass Offense as well...but that's a forbidden word it seems like lol.

My thoughts, I HATE Whiteville and I hope we kick that a...butt! Hope we play to our potential this Friday.

What I hate is that after bogus reasons our AD agreed to play this game at South instead of it being a Whiteville home game. Whiteville will lose a big gate and have to travel. Yes I have pulled against South because of conference standings I must say come playoff time I have never pulled against South. I have some great friends attending South so the word hate is not in my vocabulary. Just the difference is us I guess.

I would hope this game brings in a big crowd. It will be tough. I was told the weather should be clear.....I sure hope so for this game and the rest of the state. Rainy days spoils everything.

We played them at South last year. The original schedule listed South at Whiteville. I heard something about some type of conflict.
There was no scheduling conflict. The original schedule had this game scheduled at South. It was how the conference schedule was done. South traveled to Red Springs & Fairmont last year and had to travel again this year.

Days of Thunder is correct about the schedule. I would agree though with Huntman98...I know a lot of the parents and players of Whiteville and respect them. I definitely pull for SC but do not hate Whiteville. The competition and strong rival is what keeps both teams training and working hard throughout the year to beat one another. I'm ready for Friday night! Go Stallions!

Red Springs came to WC last year and this year. Also WC played last 2 years at SR.
That's way it goes.

And you had me convinced it was the officials.................
Being convinced and understanding the whole project is two different things. That was half the battle GIJOE

----------- BREAK -----------

My input
-The zebras were our opponents all night(They demolished us)
-The quarterback WAS Whiteville and that's it
-We caught 2/12 passes(a guess)
-Real bad weather
-Dont know how or why, but we were stopped in the red zone more than enough(Whiteville defense)

In conclusion if the flags fell for Whiteville as much as it did for us for just playing football. This would be a ball game.

At the end of the day, Whiteville was the better team

We are comparing apples and oranges here, Fairmont is pass happy while South is a ground and pound team. If South fumbles as much as Fairmont dropped passes it will be the same result. The team that controls the line of scrimmage and gets penetration will win. My biggest question is, What time will the Chicken Bog be ready?

I will admit it is the best bog in the county.

This is my first post of the year, have been following all along, but not posting. From what I have seen and heard, the Pack run D is pretty stout, not sure how much SC has improved, but glad they are not running the WINGT, with the precision they have in the past. Carr is very elusive and can throw it too, very hard to defend that combination. Glad this game should be competitive, nobody gets any good from it when its not.

Let me rephrase as that kind of came off a little harsh. I certainly don't hate the people of Whiteville, heck I lived there for 7-8 years and most of my closest friends are from Whiteville and went to Whiteville high. I "hate" the Wolfpack only as our high school sports rival. I grew up playing them and being preached to try and beat themand Loris more than anybody.

Here is what had happen a long time back. RED SPRINGS was BIG talk before both opponents. Those teams were South Columbus and Whiteville. Anyhow here is the outcome of both games.

Whiteville vs Red Springs: 26-21
South Columbus vs Red Springs: 51-32

Even though Whiteville has been winning, South Columbus has been on a commitment to overcome every and all of their obstacles.

I believe the stars and the moon were both out on both of those particular evenings. The yellow laundry was clean and dry as well. This Friday it should not be any different.

Who ever attends this game should see a score of on or around 30-19

FWIW we were up 45-14 in the 4th before we went into prevent D.

The South Columbus Community Touchdown Club will have Richard Godwin's World Famous Bog ready out front around 6pm. Be sure to stop by and get a plate for a donation. We will also be selling $2 raffle tickets on a Yeti cooler to be given away on Dec 23rd so please buy as many as you want. The South Columbus Stallion Club will be in and out of the stands selling 50/50 tickets. With the number of fans that should be at this game, the pot should get pretty big so purchase some of those too. Not sure but I think the SC Band Boosters will also have a tent set up selling food of some sort. They have the best deep fried Oreo's and waffle cakes around. Thanks in advance for helping our kids!!

Looking over several common opponents, both Whiteville and SC lost to E Bladen, neither scored in double digits and E Bladen scored 29 on the Pack and 36 on SC, so that's a wash. But the Pack defeated both West Brunswick and Fairmont, and SC lost to both of them. Granted, it was earlier in the season and SC is definitely improved since their first four games. I will say the Red Springs crew was more competitive with Whiteville than SC. Leggett seems to be running well, the Pack seems to have more of a committee approach to the carry divy. Carr can light it up, if SC finds a way to stop him they will probably win, but few D's have been able to this year.

30-19 which way?

Senior night and last home game is a good time to show the crowd you mean business.
That would be the perfect avenue of approach for SC to win the fans over and prove themselves as a winning but better yet competitive team.

By winning the Red Springs game with big numbers, it only demonstrates to me that SC has matured, is mentally prepared, competitive and gallantly ready for the last game of the season up against Whiteville.

I hate Whiteville football it boils my blood to lose to them .... I know them kids wearing that black hat will come fired up.... Leave it all on the field and good things will happen....Don't leave any bullets in the gun.... Fake punts/ onside kicks at unlikely times / throwing on first down whatever it takes for 4 quarters .... LETS GO STALLONS

Can someone please find Wolfpack69 and tell him Shelby Lion said Hello!!!! Whilst your at it, tell that Loveboat fella the same thing..... Havent heard from either in a quite a while....

Thanks and drive thru!!!!

Pack may be in better physical condition than SC. This will be difference in game. I hope it is close good game,I will be there.
Haven't missed this game in years.

lAST WEEK was probably Hutche's BIGgist win since he hAs been at South Columbus and MayBe he and the Rest of the Stagf have Figured IT out. WHiteville;'s QB is one of The best In the AreA (along with the kid From Fairmont). IF The Stallions can contain him ... It Should Be A GooD night . I KNow O have gOtten on South a lot this year, but I see a Win this Friday night and Hutch coming back next year.
