Whiteville at SWE

Looks like, other the lone loss Tarboro SWE struggled against Corinth Holders y’all won but 20-13 is what Maxpreps shows is that right? They were 4-7.
Straight up facts, I was at that game last year. Never seen so many in the visitor seats at the junction from so far away!
I'm not a Whiteville fan. SWE is the closest game to Winterville that I want to see. Son plays for South Central, he was injured in the 1st quarter on defense from Powell rolling up on him on yalls way to blowing out a young SC team this year.
Whiteville travels well as I have said before. Strick is right about 1000 people from Whiteville. Something tells me Pack going to have their hands full Friday night. But they are playing great now. We only have 2 1A teams in our conf. Rest are 2A teams. All the teams in conf. Whiteville brings more fans on road games. Especially for playoffs.
4A Corinth Holders was 4-1 at the time we played them. Don't know what happened to the rest of their season. Was our very first time playing them. Unfamiliar. And let me tell you, the officials hosed both teams that game. We didn't struggle against CH. We struggled against the refs. Both teams did. There were over 20 flags called on both teams. Most penalty yards of the season by far. Seems like they called holding on every other play. Neither team could get anything going. I'm amazed that we were even allowed to score 20. Was 13-0 SWE at half. CH tied it at 13 with less than a minute left in the game. We blocked their XP. Marched down to score with 4 seconds left. Yes, we did have a close game, but won, against a huge 4-7 4A team. Second one of the season.
I hate he got hurt and hope he had a speedy recovery. I can tell you that SW doesn't play dirty, so it wasn't intentional
Its was a clean play, he was able to come back the following week. I've been keeping an eye on SWE the last 8 years, been to a good amount of games. I know SWE is a fundamentally sound hard nose team.
I could debate that in other brackets and classifications, but not this one!
Should be good to go with no more rain in the forecast, but SW will get accused of "turning the sprinklers on" if it's still muddy.

Yes I can. His name was Marcus Jones. McDonalds All American. Went to UNC where he broke all of Lawrence Taylor Def. records. #1 draft pick of Tampa Bay played next to Warren Sapp on the D line. Sadly right after signing a huge bonus he blew out his knee and that was that. Went on to the MMA for a while.
Only game with ya'll was in 1999, 1st round playoff. SWO won 41-6.
Not in the Jacksonville area. Last I heard he retired from Ultimate Fighting and lives with his family in Tampa Bay.
I'm pulling for JP and Whiteville. Picking SWE because of what bud been saying. Moss and the Wolfpack look really good but I think it maybe another year or two before they get a ship.
Defensive struggle. Both teams play excellent defense. I think SWE should win, but its close enough that just one turnover could swing it the other way. If I wasn't going to be watching Tarboro thrash Hobbton, I would want to be at this one.

Thats because there is a swamp right in back of the field. The Navy Sea-Bees (I've been told) filled in the area and built the field. I lived on the other side of the swamp on Blue Creek Road. I could see the field lights and listen to the announcer on my back patio. But had to drive about 2 miles around to the school.
I agree, you have to let Moss do Moss things. Running against SWE will not yield good results imo.
Like i always say is if it ain't broke,don't fix it.Might see a wrinkle or two that's all.
He has the speed and elusiveness of Daniels. Hell I'd say Daniel's may be faster. One thing he has that Daniel's doesn't is great pocket awareness. That's not a slight on Daniels, he just hasn't had the same opportunities as Moss has had in the passing game. Although Tarboro has mixed in some pass the last few weeks. Moss is bigger, more explosive as a runner and hard to get to the ground. If Moss doesnt have D1 offers than I really don't understand why. I've never seen a kid at the high school level throw on the run 50 yards downfield and be as accurate as he is. If he has time to set his feet in the pocket he is automatic if the WR makes the catch. Daniel's runs the Tarboro T as well as any QB they have had imo. Moss and Whiteville run an offense that is so versatile, with so many different formations it really makes it tough on defenses. Giving Moss the keys to this offense makes Whiteville as legit as anyone in the state in my opinion. Moss is a big time playmaker and has arm talent that is rare from what I have seen. Daniels is also a big time playmaker but Moss can beat you in so many ways with the ball in his hands with his versatility playing in that offense.

Totally agree. Moss is all that! Really good arm and makes great decisions.
He is a nightmare. Some of those plays in that WRH video are nearly impossible to defend.
I cant wait to bare witness Friday night. Its gonna be a great game. It seems to me Moss is gonna get his yards and points. We will see how SWE responds.
Only reason I'm picking SWE is Whiteville couldn't have played better against a team they know like a book. Don't think SWE can stop Moss either. Can't get off in time,sure hate to miss this one. It can go either way.
I would really like SWE to win and I thought when I first saw the bracket it was SWE's to lose. Then after diving into Whiteville film I feel like history could be on repeat for SWE and their struggles with dynamic passing offenses in the playoffs. Moss is just icing on that cake. SWE is going to have to be disciplined and play DE containment. They also need their CBs and safeties to do alot of wind sprints this week to be conditioned enough to keep up with the receivers the way Moss buys time during pass plays.

After watching the S. Columbus game and these WRH highlights, I would lose my head if I saw SWE tackling like those teams were doing! Idc what the offense is doing, they don't dictate how the defense tackles. I get it from SC. They weren't a great team this year, but Wallace looked like they didn't want to be there. They acted like they were scared to attack Moss. Smh. I will admit that they fake the handoff well and I'm sure he'll get some yards Friday, but he wont be the one that beats us. Not by himself.
