When it comes to kicking, our kickoffs are pretty deep, usually coming down near the 10. I'm not sure if we've attempted a fg this year. I am concerned with the fact that we always seem to miss an xp and flub an XP snap. Every game, they both happen. Could be the difference in a close game.Need to get Bud to break down the film and tell us what he thinks. Pack going to have to play like they have the last 3 weeks and figure out how to cover that 6'5 receiver. They also have a good running game.Could come down to the kicking game in this one.
Average 5, 6, 7 yards a carry like EB seemed to do. The touchdown average is what matters. They only got one TD, until that last garbage td with 0 on the clock. Beddingfield the week before had two backs with near 150 yards, but only scored 14 points until a TD with less than 10 seconds left. So don't think the defense is a weak point. You don't win by having the most yards. One poster from SWE said East blade waz average 5 yards a carry.Moss has a field day on that defense

I hear you.Our kicker is good. He can kick it to the 10 yard line also.Have seen him kick FG from 30 to 35 yard line during warm ups,but has not attempted one all season during games.Could make a difference under pressure.Really good on XP's.When it comes to kicking, our kickoffs are pretty deep, usually coming down near the 10. You're right about that. I'd rather have that bend-but-don't-break defense like my Horses have. Fairmont got inside the red zone 3 times, scored once(in the 3rd) but was shut out in the first half and after that score.Average 5, 6, 7 yards a carry like EB seemed to do. I bet it will be a long week of practice for the teams as well. This is gonna be a long week lol.
Every word you spoke was the truth. For as long as I can remember, SWE has struggled mightily with teams that can air it out. Fortunately, we have improved tremendously on that front. We have 18 ints, which is tied for the 6th most in the state among ALL classes. A third of those ints comes from our smallest player, who happens to lead the team in tackles. His stature always fools the opposition and they feel like they can have success against him. They are wrong. He's like a gnat, everywhere and annoying, but his pass defense is unbelievable and he hits like a dynomite. When I first saw this bracket I originally thought it was SWE's to lose. Then I put on the Whiteville tape before the WRH game and ohhhh my goodness! Whiteville has the offense that can give SWE some trouble! I had no idea how explosive Whiteville can be on offense and how the coach uses so many formations to stretch defenses to their limit. If Whiteville was a primary running team SWE would win easily. It's no secret SWE has struggled against great QB play and from what I've seen Moss is as prolific as any of them. I'd like SWE to win, but history tells me Whiteville has the type of style of offense that has given SWE fits over the years. So for me, with a heavy heart, I say 35-22 Whiteville.
Hey, get it right! It's Pinetops. One word! Lol. I'm just joking around, but we really hate it around here when people think it's Pine Tops.Moss is peaking at the right time. Davis is a very versatile back. JP Price has matured into a very good coach. Our D is stout, especially with #2 Faulk back at LB. Realize SWE is very good. Setting up for a great game at Pine Tops
Whiteville had 5 turnovers and a blocked FG vs 0 turnovers for Red Springs. IMO power run game was effective 1st half, shut down 2nd half. QB hurt Whiteville with his ability to break containment . #1 also made a couple of big time plays. Whiteville’s poorest performance of the year. Would love another shot at them.Red springs defense an there power run game.Whiteville knew the run waz coming. There defense could not stop it.Plus Moss waz not the X Factor.I am a moss fan,but red springs played him well.I waz at the game.
"Our Wild Life" was the name of the show. How they fit a TV show in that little "zoo" is beyond me. It's really not spectacular at all. Just some animals in someone's back yard. But hey, more power to them.Pinetops, made famous on TLC network lol!! I loved that show with the animals. Can't seem to remember the name but I wish it hadn't got cancelled.
I can answer that. SWE is 16th in the state among all classes with over 3,500 yards rushing. Red Springs isn't in the top 50. We average 9.7ypc. Not bad.Bud,is SWE running game as good as Red Springs?
I'd say it's better. #5 is a beast! He is big, he is fast, and he has an oline that plays together as well as any team in 2A. I dont get into numbers much. When you play teams that are 0-11, 1-10, 2-9, and 3-8 it can make the numbers look better than they are.Bud,is SWE running game as good as Red Springs?

I was referring to both teams. It's gonna be hard to sell to me that most of those teams in the Eastern Plains are alot better than any of those 1A's. The only difference is N.Pitt actually won 3 games and Nash central did a little better than last year. There's your 3 game difference.Referring to who?
SWE opponents W-L 62-74 (5.1-6.1)
Wville opponents W-L 59-65 (5.3-5.9)
I know our conference was dead as heck this year, but at least it's not half 1A.
I can't argue. Like I said in another thread, thank goodness for nonconference, because the EPC was an elogated scrimmage.I was referring to both teams. Whiteville did play one less game in the regular season. You could factor in the WRH game to make it an even eleven but we know how the numbers would stack up then. LolI can't argue. Like I said in another thread, thank goodness for nonconference, because the EPC was an elogated scrimmage.

Bud i just broke down the film between Pack and Wallace and SWE and E-town. this game is going to come down to which line is more dominating. Both teams have great players that have to be contained. That big wide out does worry me. He is a beast. You can't leave him 1on1 or he will kill you.Pack can't have any turnovers. They will be to hard to overcome in this game. Both lines seem to be about equal,so it comes down to who can make the big plays when they are needed. should be a great game.Wish you luck, but i hope we have just a little more.Kind of like the old saying i would whether be lucky than good, but both teams will need both LOL.I was referring to both teams. I'll be in attendance to witness it first hand. I dont care what side I sit on as long as I get a seat! If y'all bring your band seats will fill up, other wise I've only seen Tarboro and Rocky Mount fill up that side. How many folks would you guess will come?I'll be in attendance to witness it first hand. I dont care what side I sit on as long as I get a seat! Lol
Better off sitting on the home side. There's always room before the game starts, especially when it's an unfamiliar opponent coming to town. Our away stands are average for the area. Not many people in this pocket of eastern NC, so there's no need for huge guest seating. Fills up quickly when a good team brings their fans.I'll be in attendance to witness it first hand.
