I caught this one last Friday night. The WA girls won 39-29 while the ER boys won 55-43. The boys score that is posted over on MaxPreps is incorrect.

A few thoughts from that night......

The WA girls played a great game on defense. They didn't give ER hardly any easy looks at all. ER just couldn't solve that riddle.

The Lady Warriors might be a team to keep an eye on the next couple of years. Very young across the board. You should definitely keep an eye on freshman point guard Allie Sykes. She's a very good, quick ballhandler.

The guys game was pretty decent. Nyhiem Lilly, Devonte/Julian Brooks, and Bryce Foland all had good games for the Cats. Foland had a magnificent second half. He might actually be my favorite player on that team. The Cats just made plays when they needed to.

WA's alright. They have pretty decent size and pretty decent length across the board. Got a pretty good shooter in Brooks Allred.

The Warriors also have a very interesting player by the name of King Dorsey. Dorsey looks like he stands around 5-7. But he shocked the entire gym when he flushed a two-handed breakaway dunk in the first quarter. Dorsey also has good timing on his passes and has a decent outside shot. He prefers to blend in more than stand out. However, I kind of wish he would've forced the action more.

Anyway.......main thing is ER is now 4-0 in basketball. Not football. Not baseball. Basketball. Strange times, man.....
