Week 1 Top 2A Games

You the games that caught the early eye of NCPreps for the 2A Division, but we know there are several others that people will have their eye on this weekend.

Here is your chance to start the discussion for the other games people around North Carolina should watch out for.

Northeastern vs Plymouth....

Thomasville vs. Albemarle....

Franklin vs Asheville. If Franklin stays within 10 points they could have a very good year.

Carver vs Dudley. Same scenario. Very doubtful such a small school can hang with Dudley. Don't even understand that impossible non conference schedule they keep taking on each year. It's demoralizing for kids early in the season. They keep it close and it may be a boost. I'm hearing if you like speedsters this is a must watch game.

Franklin vs. Asheville. Both had great years last year and are picked to win their respective conferences. Played every year from 01-09, but this is the first meeting since then.

Yeah that Franklin game vs. Asheville is one that we have our eye on to start the season.

I will be highly interested in watching Dudley this year... coming off an unfortunate year.. think they want to prove something and have a ton of talent on both sides.

W. Alamance @ Burl. Cummings should be a great game.

I will be highly interested in watching Dudley this year... coming off an unfortunate year.. think they want to prove something and have a ton of talent on both sides.

I think that Dudley would have easily won last year's championship. Very unfortunate for them. I would be totally afraid to play them this year. I'm sure they are very, very angry.

SWE at Edenton Holmes. Not an easy way to start the season for either team. This is the only game in which I'm not extremely confident of our chances

Edenton Holmrs was the best team in the east last year that the DarkHorses played. I think their two running backs that were really good last year graduated. Well coached program. I think the would be a tough team to open up with.
Our DarkHorses are open in week 1 but they open up next week at the team they played for last years eastern championship, SouthWest Onslow, another tough opener
You only get better by playing tough teams!

Richlands at

Richlands at East Duplin. Richlands is 3A now but this has been a traditional rivalry for years. ED has been down the last few years but i think they will be a little better this year. im anxious to see what they got: good or bad.
