Man this game has been terrible… hard to believe that the championship game is boring after the game we had last week at hickory ..
Crest/Hickory and Hickory/WC was so much better.
Just shows how terrible Crest is and was. They hyped the team last two years, and couldn't beat these scrubs. Weird mentality in CC I see
These two teams are very good but this game absolutely sucks.
I may get some crap for this but this game makes me think there were a couple teams in 3a that were better than these two.
Terrible 2 minute offense. Can't believe this is a championship game, looks like a round one game. QB for 71st is awful

Hope the next two games are a little better. That was an ugly display for a championship.
NC is up 6-3 in the Shrine Bowl.
If 71st was healthy they would have won by 14 pts. Hilarious announcers didn't realize QB was hobbled till 4th qtr.
QB is awful? Wow. Better statement would be QB is playing at less than 50%.
I wouldn't brag on that defensive effort. 71st was playing handicapped. You got the win.

Congratulations West Charlotte on capping your season with a state championship. Well deserved! Also congratulations Seventy First on two back to back magnificent seasons that came up just a little short. Unfortunately there can be only one winner. These were definitely the best two teams in all of 3A ball and I would put both of these teams in the top ten of 4A ball also this season. Both of these teams are full of dawgs and as a football fan I just love these type of tough gritty games and players. I believe both programs will continue to be strong over the next several years. Congratulations!!
Don't think either will be alive. The way this sport is going is terrible. Mediocre at best, even college and NFL. Football has got soft and hard to watch.

Did you happen to catch their coach's halftime interview? Fruit doesn't roll far after it drops from the tree.
I’d say it’s top heavy, there are still some good programs but it’s only 4/5 that would be competitive if 7A and 8A were combined.
