Same here. I really want us to play Clinton as well. Unfortunately though I don't see it happening at least for the next few years. Now realignment in 2025👀. Edenton tried to join our conference next year but was denied for hobgood 🙄

when you 2A guys posts these types of comments I cringe. Ya'll are quick to say people dont get out there to see games, but unlike @daagoob ya'll dont get out to other areas to see how good your players compare, including 3A, 4A, and 1A.
Our WRH guys know what great running backs look like. So does ED, Clinton, SWO. We’ve had four in past nine years. Another subject you shouldn’t even try. 😎

I appreciate the chicken and hog farm crowd out there, but it's hypocritical when you suggest people go somewhere else to watch players play and most of ya'll haven't left the hog farm, much less gotten out of the country. It's illogical.
I do attend a lot of games outside our area including going out of state to Virginia and Delaware to see good hsfb games. The best game (most fun) I’ve ever attended was the East Surry vs Tarboro state championship game a few years back. The best stadium I’ve been to was Lincolntons, The one place I want to attend a game at is Oscar Smith (Chesapeake Va) and Cherokee High School.

Not verified, but I think JK has Swansboro, Midway, East Bladen, and Whiteville next year nonconference.
The reason a team is not anointed as the #1 after they win a championship has much to do with the Seniors they will lose. You don't have to be a scholar athlete to figure that out. Princeton nor East Duplin will be in the top 5. Possibly not the top 10 in the east. WRH, Clinnon, JK then the rest. NorEastern possibly top 5. They may have to leave the house to play next year finally. Close games will decide the East in the playoffs next year. I think it will be Wallace, but it's really possible Clinnon or JK could snag it as well. If they incorrectly put Cummings in the East again, they could be a contender. Not top 5 but top 10. Hertford County and Whiteville will probably make enough noise to be the 4th or 5th place teams. Crapshoot on the bottom 4 or so in the top 10.
I believe it could literally come down to Wallace, James Kenan, or Clinton for the East next year. Any of those teams could very well represent and/or win it all.
Cummings will still be East this alignment.

@oldway55 , clueless are all the other posters up here with the exception of yourself. At least you are unbiased and I can respect that. Northeastern will be loaded and will be returning almost all everyone. This includes our superstar rb Spencer and big #4 Bell. I can understand leaving out Hertford County and Holmes but to not include NE as a favorite is beyond laughable. Wrh was fortunate to escape ELiz City with a win and they were given a gift when we lost our top player. If Spencer was in the backfield for us that Thursday night there’s no way wrh wins, it wouldn’t even have been close.
We could say the same with 21 championship with 3 defensive starters out. Ok I’ll switch Northeastern with Hertford County.

Yes East DUPLIN is champion, and the only team from your area that will get a unified 2A trophy. Wallace gets the goose egg, while East Duplin is your daddy.
Say what you like but Clinton and Wallace would have beaten this year's ram team as well.
This years Panther teams was senior led. Great chemistry. Loosing 15 senior is going to change that. I do believe with the coaching, y’all can get back to that chemistry. Four team battle for the East.
No disrespect to your opinion but Battle has built a program that will contend for years. Look forward to the big 4 in the East mixing it up. I would like to see SWO to get back to past form
Princeton wouldn’t have beaten reidsville imo, however I do think Clinton, northeastern and wrh would’ve beat them, they all would have matched up good. Jk would be on the fence.
Princeton put up 58 on ED, and was the only team that beat them all year. And you don't think it's possible they could've beaten Reidsville? hmm.
They are losing too much with not much replenishment right away. I'm not saying they'll have a losing record or the program is doomed, I just don't think they're a deep playoff team next year. Certainly not the favorite in the East. 3rd round maybe? Def don't believe they miss the playoffs.
The East usually won't throw or face teams that do. Typically hard to defend it in the championship game. But it do happen.
They wouldn’t have put that on them again. Especially in playoffs. Probably about the same as WRH gave up. That game may have been the catalyst for ED
