Wallace Rise Hill 28 Clinton 14 - Wallace Rose Hill just the better team tonight no excuses . We did the same thing to them last year and it worked out pretty well for them. To our western brethren that may refer to WRH as a little 1A team I say get your AD to get them scheduled for and endowment game next year and let us know how that works out. Hats off to the WRH Bulldigs . Good luck in your playoff journey. I predict another state title for you. To our Horses lift up your heads, the season has just begun

I agree in fact I predict no one in 1A will come close to beating them, well let me take that back , possibly James Kenan who in fact beat them in non-conference play early in the season and they walked over the Bulldogs but that was then, I think now may be a little different.

Was at the game tonight n my thoughts are they took it to us in the trenches as Clinton did last year. Those two D1 commits for WRH are very good as well. I liked Clinton in the spread early in the game to loosen things up. But overall good game. Both teams should do well in the playoffs.

I agree eldarkhorse, though I think as the game wore on the DarkHorses met them in the trenches. Sometime games are what ifs, what if the Horses hadn't fumbled twice inside the WRH 1 yard line, what if a wide open deep pass that was thrown perfectly had been caught, and what if the Horses hadn't committed some of their untimely penalties. That being said two very good teams played each other, WRH won tonight.

I wouldn't say wallace would roll over JK. They are the best team we have played all year. JK matches up well with Wrh and they play us harder than most teams. With that said Clinton has a good team but JK would have done the same thing wrh did. Last night that game was never in question Clinton went 3 and out and Wrh never looked back. There should be no one talking about what if this what if that. What if Wrh didn't fumble on their last drive what if dosent matter. Good luck in the playoffs.

qt, thanks for writing the Horses off the books! What if? If the two played again next week the score could have be reversed. After the 14-0 start, the DarkHorses played very well except for some penalties and the fumbles at the goal line. I mean it's not like WRH whipped the DarkHorses up and down the field. If so you saw a different game than I did. WRH deserved the win, they played the game better but don't count out the DarkHorses. After the loss I feel surpringly confident about the DarkHorses playoff chances but they MUST cut out the mental penalties( illegal procedures, illegal participation, false starts) Wallace Rose Hill has a good team. Clinton does too!

Sorry Wiz. I'm not writing them off. Clinton has a good team. But no one gave us a chance against Clinton and then when we do win people have to bring up the what ifs. It was a great ball game last night and both teams showed great sportsmanship. But I still believe Jk is the best we have seen all year.

Ima be blunt i dont think we have the offensive line to win a state championship just my opinion we have all the weapons at the skill spot but all that means nothing if your all state RB is getting hit as soon as he gets the ball....I may be wrong but if we run into another defense as fast às Wallace i.e Andrews,Washington we may be in trouble

Speaking merely out of frustration i hope they prove me wrong but depending on how we are seeded anything past the 3rd round would surprise me...against a faster defense the line can't deliver....last night we made Alot of stupid mental mistakes...fundamental things like wrapping up gang tackling idk how many times we had #8 stopped and he would just drag or carry one tackler while everyone else just stood and watched...GANG TACKLING!!!!! I have not seen us play that bad on defense all year #4 and #8 did what they wanted too...I dont know what game y'all were watching but Wallace controlled this one from start to end...yes we scored and had it called back and dropped a wide open. TD pass but it was clear to see who controlled the game

Clinton has the best chance against the west IMHO. The problem might be getting out of the east with there style of play. Can't wait to see playoff schedule.

DarkHorse34 have you seen the stats of the game? I don't see where the control and domination comes from .They won the the game pure and simple but you're making it sound like they drug the Horses up and down the field. That didn't happen. The DarkHorse committed enough penalties mostly mental penalties to lose the game alone. They cut out the mental mistakes and they'll be fine but you're correct the 3rd round is when the difficulty begins.

Shelby will be waiting at the Championship for whoever comes out of the East. They were battle tested all year long and beat 3 or 4 of the top ranked 3a teams in the state in AC Reynolds, Morganton Freedom, and South Point. Shelby would be a tough out for anyone in 2, 3, or 4a.

For Shelby to put 33 points on possibly the best defense in all of NC football is amazing. Nobody will stop that offensive attack. Nobody.

You may be right Wiz but I still saw some things that worry me moving forward... Think we will be fine against North Brunswick and whoever we play in round 2 but that 3rd round game against either Andrews or Washington will be tough rooting for Washington to pull the upset that way at least it will be a home game....I support this team no matter what I just hope we tighten up those loose ends and make a run if anyone can do it its Bob Lewis
