Every staff does not have 6-10 coaches on staff. Some schools have 4 or 5 coaches and 3 or 4 of them are community coaches. Until you have been one, it is impossible to understand what all is put on a head coach.
Not a Mount Airy folk here. We got less numbers than they have. Nice to you I think we have less numbers than you have at East. That's the way it's kind of turned in the last 4 years. We'll see how it is when they come out. You guys may have that short man syndrome you know got to be bad because I'm short. I just asking you a question. That will be like a science experiment. I hope robbinsville is rested after making the trip. It'll kind of be like a chemical reaction that you thought was going to happen. And then robbinsville is going to come in and blow it all up. They might not beat them. But they'll be four or five of them not playing in the next game. I think we've all watched corvian on film. Most of those boys need to keep playing that basketball if they're so proud of being South Stokes about. Not a lot of physicality. Not that much speed. Pretty well coached surprisingly. Nothing's dropped down killer though is it. The difference in what they've been playing and what they'll play when they play robbinsville will be that robbinsville will be meaning it. It won't be no hype. It won't be Twitter fun. It won't be any of that they'll be looking to come out and whip your ass. Hurt you. F you up. They haven't seen that yet. I'd like to just see how they react. My guess is that it's probably going to be pretty. And maybe even a win for robbinsville. Keep that CC trash down there. We going to keep playing real football in the mountains. And in the foothills. Not that piece of crap you guys play down there. You guys keep tossing it around. We'll see what happens when they run it right at you. I can't wait. Might even come find you all shucks. Give you that tattoo on your neck
Mtn. Heritage will not see a team built like Erwin the rest of the year. They will not see that size on the line nor will they see that amount of skill position players with adequate size AND speed especially on offense. Erwin’s defense is suspect though, I’ll definitely say that.
To be honest, I think Heritage loses to Erwin more than they win if they played multiple times but Heritage got it done the time that counts, and if Erwin will beat ACR that will help your RPI even more but not sure if it would be enough to overtake Murphy.
The coaching staff did a great job of scheming and the boys executing a game plan for a smaller, less shifty team to beat a larger, more athletic one. I hope Heritage can win it all this year will see how the matchups work out.

I hope Corvian is good up front and can take a smacking in the mouth bc MA is the most physical team you will see. MA D best in 1A. TBH prob as good against the run as last 2 years. MA has more than #4 on offense but the coaches haven't used them! I think you are writing a check that Corvian will not be able to cash!
Aweshuxx is just a hype machine or pot stirrer. He believes less of what he posts than the rest of the people on here. He’s just making sure the water in the pot is still in motion. Off the board, I’m sure he’d tell you the same
Not sure how accurate the roster is on Max Preps but based on what it shows you may be mistaken to think that Heritage wouldn't run up against a line as big as Erwin. Not that size is everything or means one team is better than another. Just strictly based on size according to the roster the Starmount line is every bit as big if not bigger than Erwin.
I meant they will not see that combination of a team, line (who are also pretty much all seniors) and mixed with the volume of size and speed they have at skill positions. (I didn't word it great on my original post). Erwin's not world beaters just most 1A schools can't put that kind of team together on the regular.
Real solid top five with some good teams sitting from 6-10. My guess is MA/ER are the teams to beat to get to the state finals.
Coaches are responsible for updating rosters, staffs and stats in maxpreps. The AD should be aware if it is not happening.
I do not have a dog in the fight, but this is a big prediction for an unproven team that has played a weak schedule in a crap league. MA/ER/Murphy/MH and others are proven playoff teams with lots of experience, size, speed and coaching. As for weapons, they all have them and are well coached to be able to shut that down. CC better be real good on both the O/D line or they will be pounded in the later rounds by one of those teams. Looking at schedule, I do not see them beating some teams that are even 5-5 or 6-4 from the SMC, NW1A or split CCC 1A/2A. Tell that CC coach to go schedule Salisbury, N Rowan, Lexington, Erwin, Forest Hills, Monroe, Randleman, E Alamance, Asheville, etc and then see that 10-0 be like 3-7 to 5-5 at best.

If you actually consider Eastern Randolph one dimensional then you obviously have NEVER seen them play. Now go on back to whatever screen name you choose to upset this forum’s proverbial apple cart…
If you read my post thoroughly, you will see that it said head coaches had more important things to do and that it should be left to someone else to post changes and stats on MaxPreps & the NCHSAA Record Book ! ! ! !
That is what I was trying to say is The coach does not have to be the one to do it and someone else can be given the responsibility. It seemed to me Sportsnut17 was intent on making me look like I was blaming the coach when I clearly said they had other things to do ! These days I guess I have trouble making myself clear on what I am trying to say.
Honestly I don't think Heritage played great that game but if it wasn't for Erwin fumbling in the red zone they would have won.
Gosh I didn’t realize we was so undersized and slow. I hope all these big, strong fast teams take it easy on us when you come to the granite city. We been awful lucky I guess.

This was never meant to be a slight at anyone but that seems harder and harder to do these days.
Mt airy defense is excellent however will be interesting to see if Mt airy can do anything on offense except #4...they rely on him a ton.

And very physical too. Everyone thinks we one trick pony on offense, get you defensive backfield to let you know when our all state defense end runs the ball around end with a ton of speed and looking for contact.
I got a team that is WORTH the HYPE. Kinda gonna be embarrassing bringing all this swag to a these 1a PODUNK towns .
