Three Rivers Conference

I had heard the West Bladen shut out South Columbus in the jamboree? Any truth to this?
I assure you who ever told you that was not there. South scrimmaged West Bladen and South Brunswick and gave up zero TDs. South scored either 6 or 7 TDs(not sure which). I was there and it was a complete shut out the other way around.

and you said jamboree also....The South Columbus, West Bladen and South Brunswick match up was a practice scrimmage. Now South Columbus goes to Wilmington today and plays North Brunswick in the Jamboree. I don't know how that will turn out but I believe South can hold their own.

Thanks for the update on S.C. I did not think that sounded right. I had heard S.C. had a lots coming back this year. Good luck this year.

Heard South Columbus beat North Brunswick 7-0 in the BB&T Jamboree tonight...

I thought the South Columbus team looked much more disciplined tonight than the past two years, not many if any mental mistakes and the boys played hard on both sides of the ball. Glad to see things back like they used to be at home. Can't wait for East Bladen this coming week, always a tough matchup with the Eagles!

I agree 100%. Coaching makes the biggest difference with these kids. They're stronger and more disciplined than the past couple of years. They know the plays on offense and look sharp on defense. Got some tough games ahead but I really think they can handle their own against all of them.

I was at the jamboree last night in Wilmington and here are my thoughts. Whiteville may in be in trouble. Their offense never seemed to get clicking and their defense could not stop the run. Laney pounded them down the field on several drives. Is Laney that much better or is the Wolfpack in trouble? I was very impressed with South Columbus. They looked very smooth on offense and their defense held their own against a very good North Brunswick team. From reading S2V's post, it seems like the Tornadoes had a good night on offense against Pine Forest. How did Lake View shut down Fairmont?

When I saw Whiteville run that offense all I could think about was that looked just like us for the past two years (which was bad)...then I remembered they hired our old coach Hutch to run their offense. They will get better but I don't think they will be as sharp running that offense. Their head coach is good and will get them motivated but that offense....I just don't know.

Caulder was 5 for 11 for 135 yards and 1 touchdown. Moore caught a 75 yard touchdown from Caulder. Mclean had four rushes for 52 yards. The Golden Tornadoes accumulated almost 200 yards of total offense in 22 plays against the Wild Gators. Looking forward to building on what we did in the scrimmage. The score is not consistent with our statistics because of the type of scrimmage we were playing in

Fairmont will lead u to the other water but can't drink it. Let's see if this team can play
4 quarters. Went to Whiteville some Yeats with very good teams lost. Hopefully they can get defense going.
