Thomasville @ Lincolnton 1rd playoff game

LOL....Mr. Lincolnton distracted by food....that cracks me up.
by CHEERDUCK

Cheerduck, I read one time where this renowned feller with a complicated name was supposed to have said, "Ice cream is exquisite. What a pity it isn't illegal". He would have said the same thing about the barbecue OC Davis brought with him, last Friday. It was as good as it smelled. If it were illegal it would be even more enticing.
Mr. Lincolnton, the package I delivered is known as "barbecue for four". I suspect it didn't last for four meals. That's as close to illegal as you can get from Tommy's.

OC, that barbecue didn't last long.It surely was good and I thank you so much.Davidson County is the cradle of good BBQ.

By the way, here is a link to the local radio station in case you want to tune in to the game, this Friday:

Thanks! My daughter teaches at West Meck, so I may ride over and watch them try to stop Page. Believe it or not, I can listen and watch at the same time. Best of luck to the Wolves.

Thanks OC. You can always come on down and join us on Friday.

The Thomasville and Lexington bbq places are all cousins of a kind. Jimmy's, one of the stalwarts in Lexington that closed recently, started in Thomasville. It's all a matter of opinion, but I'll stack Tommy's next to any of those across Abbott's Creek. I actually prefer it to that white block building on the hill that gets all the publicity. In my mind, Cook's and the Barbecue Center are Lexington's best. Tommy's and Barbecue Shack get the nod in the Chair City.
Guess you can tell football season is over here in Thomasville. LOL. Maybe I should have taken enough for all the Lincolnton Wolves. If the smell distracted the team as much as it did my friend, the poster, we might have had a chance!
Mr. OC, can not ever pass up trying new BBQ places, so I wandered over to Tommy's today. Had the tray and man was it good. I will certainly visit there again. OBTW, white building is by far not the best, I happen to prefer the BBQ center, across Abbott's Creek as you referred to that town.

Any other gems in T-Ville I need to checkout?

Barbecue Shack on Randolph Street is good. Some folks like Terry House, but I find them a little cliquish. If you like Italian, try Villa Arianna on Main Street. First generation family from Italy who remodeled an old Hardee's that had sat for many years. Did almost all of the work themselves, including the stone masonry.
In one of my roles, attracting folks to town is very important. Thanks for visiting our city and welcome back any time.

I know this is off subject but the thread has already veered off. For anyone who is into RC planes, drones and cars and such. There is a hobby shop called Anderson RC in Thomasville. Hands down the best RC hobby shop I've ever been to. Google it. Another reason to visit Thomasville.

Very true, Gary. Tell Wes and Matt hello.

Not trying to hijack thread, but where is Tommy's BBQ in Thomasville?

The address it 206 National Highway. From Winston, down 109, left on Unity in Thomasville, right on National Highway at the next stop light. About 1/2 mile on the right at the bottom of the hill.
