Thomasville FB

it's been announced. Bradley George as football coach and James Atkinson as AD.....not sure i'd call it a shocker for the community, more so of a head scratcher but who knows..let's see how it goes
Coach George was an assistant coach for the past two years. Good guy and I’m excited to see how he leads the Bulldogs this upcoming season. If I’m not mistaken Atkinson was the basketball coach for the Bulldogs a couple years ago?

that is correct

I won’t criticize these men. Don’t know them very well at all, but have been told they’re good men. But I will certainly criticize the process.
You’ve heard the old army adage, “ hurry up and wait”. This was the opposite. Wait for months and then rush to make a quick hire. A hiring panel with no one involved with football or athletic administrative background. Less than five candidates for each job, with several others who weren’t considered in order to meet a hasty deadline. All so that the previous AD or principal couldn’t make the hire.
This has the signature of a school board that doesn’t have a clue how to run a school system, much less hire an athletic staff.
I sincerely hope that both men have success. But, if they do, it will be in spite of the board and administration, not because of it.

Remember this conversation.
Nothing I’d like more than to admit I was wrong. But I’m close enough to the situation to understand the chaos that envelops the athletic department, the school and the whole school system. As I’ve said before, I’m much more concerned about the academic environment than the athletic one. They both are in shambles.

You either know something most don’t or you’re delusional. I hope it’s the later.
Will have to beat Randleman, TW Andrews, Salisbury, N Rowan and Lexington to even get to 5-7 wins. If they surprise and go for 8+ that will be a great season for that bunch that lost all those studs on defense.

Everyone is entitled to their opinions just got be surprised if Thomasville starts the season 6-0. Team will be better than last year. Lots of excitement in Bulldog country

I'd love to see it but Im very curious to know what you know that nobody else knows? Particularly on the defensive side of the ball. I can see how the offense could be better than last year but the defense is questionable

How is the team looking this year? They are a team that I thought would be improved this year and one to watch. How are they compared to last year?

Went to the first practice Wednesday last week, doesn't look like a drop off in talent but still too early to say. Defensive line still has nice size, oline too. Backfield has speed and might have a big target at WR.

First game against RaNnElmAn will tell alot.

Coaching turnover, instability, questionable hiring practices.

All interesting stuff but enough about Albemarle. How are things looking in Thomasville this year?

Lol, just kidding, best of luck to the Red Dogs this fall. I'm sure they will be very tough as usual.
