Having watched all of Whiteville's home games here is my assessment of the team.
On O the line is very good, the continually push every D line back and open holes for our backs, I have not seen a team or D line that has been able to crack them. Backs run the ball very hard, lots of runs up the middle and off the guards, occaisonally run outside but not too much because we don't have to. We throw less that 10 times a game but seem to make completions when needed an seem to score at least one TD a game in the air, most of the time to #3 or #4. But the run is our bread and butter, long drives with a no huddle offense that wears D's down especially the D Lines.
On D we seem to make some mistakes early in games but adjustments are made and fix that quick. #58 is a beast, gets double teamed a lot and still manages to make tackles, pressure the QB and disrupt things, All East selection. #3 is a D1 quality DB and can hang with any receiver we have played so far, did get beat against Kinston but had to make a play on a perfect throw, he is also an All East selection as a wide out. #4 is equally as good as DB and caught a TD pass against Kinston and probably leads the team in interceptions and pick 6's. He will be All Conference I am sure. #56 is a very tenacious hitter look out for him. #10 and #5 are both a little small but are fast and make things happen around the ball.
Special Teams #4 does and adequate job punting and #33 kicks off well and kicks high and long extra points, cold did not bother either one last night and it was cold my toes are still tender.
Looking for a great game Friday in Elizabeth City!
