Not sure how we are suspect but I have no problem with your opinion. What I will say is this, I think we have proven over the last few years that were legit. We couldn't of done much better last yr. I mean we were dominating the game going into halftime leading by 14. In the end we ended up losing to a program that is a dynasty in Nc on a fg in the final seconds. The year before we went toe to toe with WRH in the eastern regional cship only to come up short. We have a young coach who's only going to get better and we have a top 150 kid coming in for his senior season, not to many small programs can say that.
Welp there has been alot of buzz around Pitt county that coach Moore may be interested in the JH Rose job that opened up today. Who knows? But I'm sure if he was he wouldnt comment on it till NE season is over. Could be just wishful thinking for the Jarmans?

Both coaches battling it out for the Rose job. Lol. Moore is the front runner but Dempsey's name is also in the hat!
I really dont think Coach Dempsey will leave SWO. Played there, won there and now has his own program going forward in leaps and bounds. I dont see what Rose has over SouthWest that would make it a better fit. And really Coach Moore either.
Rose has quite a few things over them...One being money...SWO and NE simply can’t compete with big money Rose boosters can offer. The 2nd one being media exposure, Greenville is a bigger market and could be a spring board for any coaches who would want to coach at the next level. Third would be the talent pool. With Rose they are looking at being 4A next realignment they are only 4 years removed from a 4A title appearance the thoughts around Pitt county has been the talent has been there but the coaching has not.

Good info in the article Chris. A stat I would not have thought but Pagan for SWO has almost as many yards rushing than all the NE runners together. I would have thought they had more.

Im at a loss for words after reading all these posts, Superstars included. In less than 32 hrs this sh*** going to get real. I'm guessing after we absolutely crush swo Friday that will be our best win this season. Started the season 0-2 against decent competition and finished the season winning out against very bad teams that would be the equivalent of First Flight and Ptank in our league. I just don't understand. Some of those wins to finish the season were very close. I know the past history of swo was really good and I know the future looks bright with a young qb and a great jv program but seriously what had swo done lately? You can't keep living in the past, NC State was once a great bb program but hasn't done anything in 10 plus yrs

NE lost in 3rd rd and went to State, SWO lost in 4th round twice. This year about the same I would say.

Swo#1 I'm sure you know that Swo only made the eastern cship because NE and WRH got put in the same bracket. The game that was played here was the true Eastern Cship. After we lost to WRH and Javonte in a shootout they went on to beat Swo in a blowout. The result would've been the same had Swo played NE that yr, I don't believe there is anyone who'd argue that.You have to understand my frustration when I read a post like superstar and other swo posters have put up. I don't care for the swo program at all because of the hate on this site towards our program and I don't hide that. I do give credit where credit is due, that being that Swo has a great history with many titles. Since I've really gotten involved with NE football Swo has never beaten NE and the games haven't even been close. I know they have beaten NE before but not since I've been attending the games. I know how good our team is and we're going to open a lot of eyes tomorrow night. Swo#1 I really like you and I wish that more of the swo posters were like you. I wish you could be there tomorrow so we could hang out and enjoy the game together, that would be fun. We could talk smack to one another while we're watching, believe me Dogs79,Old Dogg,and Hayseed go back at forth with me at the games. I unfortunately was on the losing end and had to endure it lol.
Win or lose, both teams have a bright future. Yea I'm gonna be all about SWO and you about NE. Who ever takes a Likin will keep on Ticken. Been here for 37 years with SWO No matter what, I will still be here as will the Stallions.
Rose may have a list of names they would look at. But I dont think Moore or Dempsey is lookin back. They do have a bigger program. They do have 5 state titles, a spurt of 4 after a long, long drought. No where near the overall record of SWO. SWO has plenty of backing in Onslow County, not hurting at all and I dont think NE is either. Good luck to em in the future.
Yes sir, same here #1. I know the time will come when our teams play in the future that I'm going to be thinking about about how bad your Stallions will beat us. Believe me I'm not looking forward to it either lol. You guys are going to be loaded next year!!! I'm trying to get all my smack talk in now lol
So NE wants credit for a win in a game that was never played??? This is sad... SWO has a average team compared to some of great teams in the past, but we owned that fact early, and became better.
NE has pretended all year some how they have a great team, and now the playoffs are here they find themselves scratching there heads if they can beat an average SW team motivated to avenge last year's loss.
Until NE wins a chip, they will always be suspect to take a loss early on in playoffs!

new SWO poster here but what I don’t get about what you just said is how is it that Southwest hasn’t done anything lately? I mean in the past 10 years we’ve been to 3 state championships winning it in 12( my junior year) and multiple trips to the East final?
It's hard for schools with no chips to understand, just making it to eastern finals is not enough
Do your history boy when the last time northeastern lost early in the playoffs we've been to at least the third or fourth round for what like the last five or six years
Dont get me wrong I do respect NE program they have been a damn good team the past 10 or so years and definitely a great team in 2013 the only game I was apart of /saw but to say SWO hasn’t done anything is crazy. Like I always say we may not win state championships Every year but every year we are one of the best if not the best in our class. 44 seasons in history made the playoffs in 35 of those years that’s 81%
And of those six okay teams you had only one has made it to the finals, and lost the game.
I'm happy you guys are able to be in discussion as a good school, but with your constant losing in big games, it gets old and frankly I'm sick of being fooled that your squad is good, only to find out it's not in your nature to play big in big games.
Swo#1, thank you for being such a good sport and someone from swo that I can joke back and forth with. Superstar your OK with me. I know you and swounclerico don't like me but you do love your team and I can respect that. I love my Eagles and title or no title I will always take up for them.

Hey swo2012, I didn't mean that in reference to anything you posted. That came from superstar, he doesn't like me or any Northeastern poster. Im glad your up here and this is the first time I've ever noticed you. Please ignore my trash talking it's all in fun and I do it with all teams. For some reason most swo take it to serious. The game will be decided on the field not up in the stands with us. I just know where my team stands and I think we'll win easily. We can't just win, we have to win big. If not most will say we're overrated. A win is not a win necessarily if your a Northeastern fan. That's sad to say but it's true. Thanks 2012, I think you guys are 1 yr away from making that title run.
