Swain County at Eastern Randolph

Slightly off-topic, but I want to talk about ER's potential road for a second.

If the Cats get past Swain, I would love to see Cherokee come to town the Friday after. Cherokee has one of the best fan bases in all of NC. That would be an awesome atmosphere.

If the Cats get past the second round, a potential battle with the mysterious Corvian awaits. But.......I'm not so sure Corvian gets past Mitchell. Honestly, as an ER fan, I think I would rather play Corvian.

Then, potentially, a return trip to Wallace Shelton. I'm selfishly pulling for Starmount to beat MA so the Cats can play at home. Either one of those teams will be really, really tough though.

There’s a dude out of Mt.Airy, I believe, that goes by the name AWESHUXXXPA. He’s a huge supporter of Corvian and can give you the scoop.

I’m pretty sure he’s Briscoe Darlin’s youngest boy, hence the screen name. Much more of typer than he ever was a talker.

Swain will have a long trip back tonight and this season has been the most disappointing season I had as a fan. They lost alot of good football players this season for one reason or another. 55 and 59 are their best players now and hope they have a big game. Their offense will be the issue as they just can't move the ball constantly and usually have 3 to 4 turnovers a game.

Could it be the Coaches last game at Swain?

Swain could be trouble if the sloppy wildcats come to play. Any given night this time of year. At the very least we will get some idea of how future opponents scores will compare. If ER just scrapes by then we’ll know it’s an uphill battle from here.

Just got back....

when I left, ER was up 49-0 early in the fourth. Swain actually put up a pretty good fight in the first half. It was 14-0 for the longest time. The score won't show it but ER had a little trouble with Swain's D-Line. #59 is an absolute stud. Swain needed at least three more guys like him and #55.

The turning point was Lucas Smith's freakin awesome TD run early in the second. He had another one later on. Kobe Walker and Deshaun Shamberger both had nice games. So did James Combs. Aiden Goodman had an awesome scoop n' score in the second half.

You guys were right. Swain's O is what did them in. I think you could've put their entire playbook on a Post-It note. Also didn't help that they fumbled numerous times. Also also didn't help that their offense played right into ER's strengths.
