Statesville vs SP

Interesting game. Statesville is a quality team and Ramseur is a stud at QB. SP needs to get their minds right for that game.
LOL....I understand and get aggravated at these people who think they are entertainers and/or cheerleaders.
Not impressed with our defense? We held Tuscola to their lowest rushing yardage in a while. Whats wrong Bluvols nervous? You should be.
I saw sp at south iredells jamboree and they will not be the best team we have played this year. Same rules apply now as in 2012. You will have to defendthe whole field the whole game. In 2012 i felt we should whooped sp bymore than what we did. Our play calling was not aggressive enough then, it will be friday.
2 things worry me, the most being that redbone. We are big upfront and we are fast but can we play discipline defensive ball? If we control that redbone, sp is in big trouble cuz we have way more offensive weapons. Btw our best runningback did not even play last nite.
As far as our announcer goes, who cares what you think lol?
2012 has no bearing on this game and Sp isn't the same team as it was in August. I say we take it 35-21.

Lol SP gave away 2012 game. Besides the refs cheating Statesville took 3 knees at the yard line instead of scoring. Statesville literally dominated the game. Refs made it much closer and Statesville coaches decided not to score at the 2. Lol come on man stop with the non sense and call the game how it really went
Yeah and this ain't 2003 and we still hear about that ship ya'll won. We are young and we have one of the best qbs in the state. If we focus, not only can we win we can win big. We left points on the field last time and it still bothers me to this day. On the flip if ya'll beat us, great job. But let it be known your secondary will be tested a time or 2 or 3 ....etc. lol
This game will be a good one and a tight contest. Make no mistake about it both teams could win. The final will be as simple as who plays better defense period. As for 2012 both teams are very different than they were that season and the game will be very different.
How is the hounds offensive balance this year. According to the stats I can see they are more relying on the rushing than they did in 2012. As for the SP passing comment above they pass because the run isn't as effective as it has been.
We are trying to be a 50/50 team. We can stretch the field or we can run at you with a 1000 yard rusher and another bruising running back.
You obviously don't know hound history and it wasn't our greatest upset. I'm sure when the raider coaches saw the brackets, they didn't need to get motivated just like us. Ya'll want revenge and we want to pound you into oblivion like we should have. LOL
According to stats online statesville is more of a 70-30 run vs pass team but I'd say more 65-35 or 60-40 run va pass with the game in question. I say to win they will flip that stat. And if SP wants to win they play 25 in the secondary all night and eat a few penalties by connecting the receivers sternum to his spine. Just remember to keep the crown of the helmet out of it.

Refs almost literally gave SP the game. Regardless who cares about 2012. We had 3 d1 players on that team. Friday should be fun. Beating SP is no different in beating SI. Its bir that bigbof a deal to us but it is a way we measure how good we are
Yeah coonie your right we had our chances to hold on to the ball. The biggest story in 2012 was the fact that SP could not stop fumbling the ball and in turn could not wear the hounds D down. Statesville fans can say what they want but the key was turnovers period. A lot of turnovers.
Don't know anything about either team but a well disciplined triple option attack is very difficult to defend for an entire game. One mistake and it can go to the house. Statesville if they are that good offensively need to put as many points on board as possible to hold off that wishbone. Undisciplined defenses don't stop triple option attacks. From sounds of it should be a good one.
I hope Ramseur is healthy. He didn't play the 4th quarter last night. Looked like something with his shoulder (they were icing it on the bench). Clark was apparently ill with some kind of bug, I think he lines to attempt to scalp the Raiders. Don't be fooled by our run/pass split, we basically go with whatever is working and against the bad teams we play, the run puts the game away easier. I'm never totally sold on our run D against a disciplined run team, but I thought we handled the redbone pretty well in 2012 (yeah i know there were turnovers and we had some studs playing LB and CB). I think winner of this ends up in the regional final for what its worth.

This should be a good one. No way am I going to smack on the hounds. The last time they were in Lineberger, they took it to a very good SP team. If we clean up some sloppiness and somewhat control Ramseur, we should move on.

Throw in the Hunter Huss announcer and you have the modern day version of Mannie, Moe & Curly.
You got to watch that South Point Line diving at your ankles on the line every play on offense. If you can control that and stay back and step on them when they crawl towards you you will be ok. Yes the Center dives every play and those next to him all three of them.
Go tell GT, Navy that. They run the same offense that we do.. If it was a bad block it would called.
Much as you wish it was not, that is a legal form of blocking. What is your problem with it? As long as it is man to man and no two man, high - low blocking which is dangerous and illegal.
