SP VS CONCORD

Anybody going to talk about this one anymore? South Point could easily have entered the playoffs with an 10-0 (10-1) record and been a number 1-4 seed. If they only had the one loss to Crest, and had won those games that narrowly lost, there would be a lot more chatter.

Will SP fans show up at Concord? Or has the towel been thrown in?
Nice try pal. SP has beaten exactly two teams with winning records I believe. One was last week (and they're not over .500 any more) and the other was 2a Shelby. So, I thnk SP has a chance as always. We definitely don't have the skill we had on the field last year, but I THINK we're better in some other crucial areas (both sides). But, I also know that Concord isn't the same team. Best player on the field last year by far was 44. Man amongst boys.

If we gang tackle tonight hopefully it can be kept close. What I think will happen is we'll do our normal stacking of the box vs. run, and blitz a lot and Concord will eat us up with screens and the pass downfield. My prediction: Concord 28 , SP 20.

SP shows up everywhere. Although this has been the lowest crowd attendance I've seen in my 40 plus years of attending games....still it's 2nd round SP football. Expect us to have more people than them, and them to have more points than us.
SP leads the series 3-1 as of right now. So, a Concord win tonight, and they will hold a better win % (40%) than *Crest does vs. SP.

Technically they don't, skeezer.

Thus far winning 1 out of 4 is quite the opposite of "owning" someone.

One could make the argument that as of right now, SP owns Concord. The reason why is the 3-1 record. You see, a 75% win percentage is much closer to 100%..thus, the ownage.
If you can scrape together a win tonight, you'll still be on the wrong side of owning anyone. You won't even really qualify for a lease.

So, you know that place that you rent your rims from? You don't own those because you have not paid in full. When you get all $179 dollars together you will own them. Right now, your down payment of $38 and a handy J in the back to the counter salesman is about where Concord is in relation to owning SP.

Don't know, Crestmas. I do know that South Point has lost games it should have/could have won and won some that it should have lost. The Red Raiders have made a bit of progress since that first game. At this point, it's up to the young men on the field tonight.

The odds certainly favor Concord to win this one. Last year the odds favored South Point over Concord. If we lose, that's what everyone expected/predicted - a 2nd round choke from an antiquated, one dimensional team. If we win, I am sure all you Crusty Nags will continue to bait us that the 3rd round will be the end of our glory days before we head to 1A ranks. Either way, rest assured that the Raider faithful will remain as a constant bur under the Nags' saddle.

With no dog fighting anymore, this week I am a Red Raider, Lincolnton, and Catholic fan.

Nice GDG, but be careful. Rulz might jump all over you for graciously supporting the kids and staff of other teams.

This cannot be Phil Tate's last game as a Red Raider!!! Go Raiders!!!

and Ralph Machio loves to see his words on a screen.

7-0 SP end of 1st. Spiders turn it over on downs. Raiders on the move!

14-7 SP. Easy long drive for the Spiders. Rocky scores his 37th TD of the year. Way to easy!!
