Tonight's game is a good test of two teams looking to build off slow starts to there season.

South Davidson comes into tonight's contest 2-2 and are led by 5'6 junior guard Trent Shore, 5'10 senior Andrew Collins and 6'2 senior Brett Hedrick.

South Davidson is coming of a nice win against Gray Stone Day on Dec 5, in which the Wildcats won 54-43, behind Davin Ball's 19 points. So far this season, the Wildcats have alternated wins and losses, but they hope to end that tonight.

The host team Queens Grant comes into the contest 3-2.

They are led by 6'5 senior guard Demetry Leake, who is averaging 14.4ppg and 4.8rpg, while 6'8 junior Patrick Tape is chipping in 12.2ppg and 12.2rpg.

Queens Grant also has 5'10 senior guard David Perry, who is averaging 13.8ppg, 6.8apg, and 4.3rpg.

Queen's Grant won their first three games but have dropped their last two to Charlotte Christian and Carmel Christian. Now, they are looking to stay above .500 early on in the season.

Host Queens Grant started the game off down 2-0 due to a technical called because of dunking in warmups.

They would also get another technical after there first two points by senior guard Demetry Leake on a dunk but he hung on the rim.

Both technical fouls were placed on him throwing him out of the game.

That put a small damper on the night but his teammates had his back especially 6'8 junior forward Patrick Tape who finished with 15 points, 18 rebounds, six assist, seven steals, and three blocks.

He had help from teammate senior guard David Perry who finished with 17 points, seven rebounds, five assists, and one steal.

South Davidson was led by 5'9 junior guard Trent Shore who finished with 17 points, three assists , two steals, and two rebounds.

Vince Cornelius also chipped in 18 points.
