Why does SC split their 5A? Seems to water down competition to me.
The similarity between this game and the Clemson-SMU game is hard to believe. Almost identical circumstances, exactly the same score. Irmo ties it 31-31 in the last minute, and Northwestern kicks a field goal to win it at the very end of the game. The main difference was the length of the field goal, but still it seems a little freakish.
I'm sure many games have ended the same way in the past. But being so close together seems unusual.
