1 Swain
2 Murphy
3 Rosman
4 Robbinsville
5 Cherokee
6 Andrews
7 Hayesville

I think Murphy is still a year away but they may surprise some folks this year.

I dont think Cherokee will be as good as you guys think. I changed my picks and know have Andrews winning over the Braves. Andrews 5th Cherokee 6th, Hville 7th.

Robbinsville will have a hard time finishing 2nd this year but that is what I am going with. We have had 2 running backs go down already. One for the season and I am not sure about the other one. He was blocked in the back of the knees by a Andrews WR. He was one of the best D guys we had. Anyone else gets hurt we might finish 4th or lower.

I think BK might be on to something! We have a couple really, really good players, but most of the team is young, very young! I'm talking about starting a lot of Sophmores and Freshmen, (and some Juniors). There will be flashes of brilliance and then the inexperience will take over at times! Going to be a very interesting season!

I think we will learn a lot in a real game situation this week about the Braves. I think u will see them win early struggle in the middle and as the young players come on be a tough out in playoffs

We have not played any games so I guess I didnt see the games your are talking about. If your talking about Andrew, Cherokee, and Franklin, I only saw Franklin and we lost the only running back that scored in that one. I hope you right though.

What running back are you talking about being hurt and then who is the other that got hurt? Never seen anyone hurt in the Cherokee scrimmage. Pretty much seen both backs run the ball very well.

The one with the shoulder has pretty much been hurt all season and wasn't getting to practice much anyhow. The one with the leg will be ready to go. He runs the ball some but won't be getting it as much as the other 2 will. 44, 21 and 10 will be the top backs this season

21?......................WOW.

I have said that he turns the ball up as good as any back we have. I really like the way he runs and if he stays with football he could really help us over the next 3 years.

This could be the year someone other than the big 3 wins the conference. Rosman has as good shot as anyone if they can get healthy.

I don't think anyone will go undefeated in conference this season. Murphy will lose at Swain like they always do, Swain will lose at Robbinsville or Rosman maybe both, Rosman will probably lose at Murphy, Robbinsville will lose at Murphy or Rosman maybe both, and Cherokee might be good enough to pull an upset on one of the above teams.

I agree. I think we're looking at a big logjam in the standings this year, with even teams at the bottom of the standings being tough outs in the playoffs.

Yeah, I think Cherokee, Andrews and Hayesville will all be tough outs for some team in the 1A playoffs this year.

I think the top 3 are all alittle down and the rest are alittle better than most years. The State will go through the SMC this year even though we are down, I think the Small A is down as much as it has been in 10 years.
The SMC is fun this year.

Elkin, Alleghany, and Albemarle being down this year and Mountain Island not living up to the hype means Small A west might be weaker than normal. Thomas Jefferson is undefeated and Community School of Davidson has some OK wins, Pine Lake Prep is undefeated but was right on the border between 1A and 1AA last year, andWS Prep is a big unknown at this point, but I wouldn't be shocked if the third and fourth rounds in the small 1A west looked like the Smoky Mountain Conference tournament this year.

Prep will be small 1a and will be a tough out for sombody. Lots of athletes and heigth. They mostly run the ball with good speed in backfield and those those tall receivers are a good target when they get time to throw it

I've seen both prep and Rville play Rville would destroy them not saying prep isn't good but they haven't played anyone especially anyone like rville huge Oline and I'm pretty sure Rville would have pressure in the backfield all night.

Didnt prep get ran over last night by E.Surry. If so the Prep myth is over.

Rville line has taken a big blow for the rest of the season.
